so when you have t o d a y
SAY ALL THAT YOU HAVE TO SAY
Now that she was alerted to his presence his arms returned to their rightful and original place, around her waist. It's where they belonged but it seemed even such a simple gesture came in short supply. Waking up to screaming children on a daily basis was less than romantic in terms of both environment and time. It was nearly impossible to find spare moments to partake in such simple action.. therefore, he was take advantage of the time he had.
Warm forearms crossed over her abdomen, holding her lightly to his form and dragging a tender thumb over the showing pregnancy, a bittersweet smile coming to his lips. This child would mean so much to the both of them, most likely in a more negative fashion than it sounded. The growing child within her stomach was to be a constant reminder of their brutal past and to the ache in his heart. A constant reassurance was needed in order to sooth the writhing doubts in his mind, at this moment that would be nothing more than the heat their bodies shared as they peered out over the ocean. Lilly was his in heart, all that mattered now was moving forwards. Part of which included accepting this child as his own.. regardless if it was biologically connected to his cousin (of whom he'd never forgive). So long as Lilly remained a part of him the child would be too, no matter the initial pain it may cause him. It was a Pierce through and through and he'd be damned if he allowed it to grow up feeling any different.
The the shift of her body leaning into him brought him back into the present, his finger pausing in it's travel against her skin in order to flick his eyes down at her. His smile lessened to that of a smirk, searching her pleading expression and laughing lightly. A cute woman could get far with him, Lilly had mastered the art by this point, nonetheless it was entertaining. Releasing a long sigh through his nose he took it upon himself to rest his chin on her shoulder as he returned his attention to the blue expanse in front of them. The man grew quiet in nature, studying the dark and shifting water thoughtfully. It seemed a good while had passed before he surfaced from his thoughts, blinking and turning his head to lay a kiss on Lilly's cheek. "Well," He began, his eyes dancing with a pleased expression while his rumbling voice resonating softly next to her ear. "If you took the amount of water in this ocean.. and doubled it.. then you'd be halfway there."
He could nearly chuckle from his cheesy but nonetheless true remark, gripping her closer to him as if to confirm his seriousness in the manner. "I love you," He continued, pausing to place his lips on her neck this time, "I love our crazy life." He smiled now, "But more importantly," He straightened to his full height, a good foot and some taller than her, and allowing his palm to flatten against her stomach. "I love our crazy kids."
