For a lengthy moment Rhyder stood staring back into the blue eyes of a golden palomino, a hand loosely wrapped around a strand of leather reins while the other continuously grazed down the untrimmed stubble on his jawline, as if deeply studying the horse's motives. He didn't say much, neither did the apparent opposing quarter horse gelding, his name Rhyder could care less to remember, who simply watched the man with a cocked hind leg, freshly tacked and waiting to go to work.
"Ri, let's go!" Rhyder suddenly yelled, the stable isle of VVA's Competitor Barn echoes causing the gelding's ear to briskly twitch. Rhyder's eyes hardened at the motion as he stepped to the side. "Boy I paid your way in here, I won't give two thoughts to taking you out by other means." The native Georgian lowly threatened while checking the gelding's cinch, of course done by a stable hand (because he hardly knew how to tack a horse), and glanced behind to a spotted appaloosa mar who too was staring at Rhyder. Grunting, the stable owner muttered, "This trail ride better be worth it."

It hardly ever took the woman long to do anything, especially when it came to being able to return back to Rhyder's side.
Unfortunately, her own personal mount was being a pain in the arse as always. The sixteen two hand chestnut stallion was rowdy, although a worthy money earner, but his attitude was just downright fowl. "Come on M, don't act like this already." Aria commented as she tried her best to be able to put the bit in the horse's mouth, who kept throwing his head up high.
After fifteen more minutes she finally was able to get the headstall over the stallion's head and get him saddled up properly in western attire. Of course, M wasn't too happy about it as he pawed the ground with a heavy hoof.
Heaving a sigh of her own she pulled on the reins to which the horse pulled back abruptly before finally dragging his feet behind the woman. "I'm sorry, I'm here." She loved the horse Rhyder had gifted her last year, but like hell she was going to tell him how much an ass the horse was.
She didn't need to tell the man, for the chestnut stallion flattened his ears and bared his teeth like some kind of wild animal at the nearby man. "Uh, he's just...excited about the trip. Don't mind him. Are you ready?" She asked as she pushed the stallion's nose away who snorted in disgust. Could a horse even snort in disgust? Apparently this one could.
