enough words 'scuse me while i cry, but dont worry it gets better You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty You know, Aria wasn't sure what she really wanted in life. She had been through hell, more than once, and it'd be a lie to say she wasn't a heavy weight.
She wasn't even half the person she had once been, and she wasn't sure if that was for the better or for the worse. On nights when Rhyder had fallen asleep, the blond woman would lay awake, the gears in her head churning and burning.
There was something in her life that didn't belong, something that she felt would only make her life oh so much more difficult than it already was. With a even heavier heart, she traveled down the stairs lightly, her hazel eyes searching the large space of the first floor for the likes of Rhyder.
Aria was done crying, she was done making herself appear pathetic and worthless. "R-Rhyder?" She called out, her voice halfway breaking. She was as nervous as a cat in a pit of rabid dogs, which was evident by the way her hands were trembling.
Was this really what her heart wanted?
Can't turn back now...
She thought to herself as she approached the man slowly, still appearing unsure. "C-can we talk?" She asked, knowing full well the man would probably think the worse (as he always did) and would probably also ask who he should provide damage control to (as he also always did).
Dropping her gaze to the floor, she found the words that she needed to speak. "I don't want to do this anymore.." She started, only to realize where that sounded like it was going. "Not in that w-way.." She added quickly, not wanting the man to assume the wrong thing out of her words. "I meant..the baby...or..well...babies." The woman had neglected to even bother to tell the man that she carried his twins instead of a single child.
Did it even truly matter? Okay, it really did but Aria never really thought like that. It was then that she realized that something was wrong. It was then that she felt the need to look to the nearby kitchen counter for support. pfft whatever bred humans do

cowboys & angels, we ride side by side - a cloud of dust, a ray of light
A large screen television subtly flickered from within the spacious living room, a current debate between sportscasters canceled out by the mute button as a recorded acoustic melody toned out from a set of speakers in just across the open layout floor.
In the kitchen, Rhyder put to use an old southern secret while trying to pass the time. His prized pair of boots sat atop the center island, accompanied by a tin can of manually mixed oils, beside that a partially consumed beer as he worked the vamps of the dark brown boots with a dampened soft cloth, spaciously taking a break to take a drink.
It wasn't long until he sensed Aria approaching him, the hazel hue of his eyes momentarily glancing up before returning to his work. It didn't take looking at her to realize she was troubled, a knack Rhyder hadn't exactly been able to decode an origin to, however the identical marks the couple shared was the only thing that made some sort of sense.
Aria's question sported Rhyder to hesitate his buffing, "What is it?" his drawl held a genuine concern, yet remained low and rigid as the type of question would naturally cause the man's safeguard shields to rise.
The subject caught Rhyder off guard, causing his eyes to briefly widen, yet her attempt to reiterate only slightly padded the shock. Rhyder allowed a lengthy silence between the two, partly because he had no clue what to say, and then the question of why she would even say something like that. It was the last thing he'd thought he'd hear come out of her mouth.
Babies... Two? Rhyder's expression remained unreadable, another knack he was surely good at. Dropping his gaze to his boots, Rhyder returned to buffing his boots. "What makes you say that?" He questioned, hardly hinting the shock still lingering from her statement.

ple some words PLE UNDERSTAND THIS IS OKEY You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty The woman wished she had the man's patience and perseverance. She observed the man as he simply returned to his task at hand, unphased by her statement. It almost made her want to believe that Rhyder didn't give a damn about her.
But she was no attention hog, nor was she a beggar like some women attempted to be you know who. A quiet sigh left her as she fought to find some sort of explanation. "I..I just don't want to.." It was the best response she could come up with, albeit a shitty one.
Like hell Rhyder was going to believe that sorry attempt at a explanation. Looking down at her growing stomach that provided a place of safety for their children, she couldn't help but feel some sort of motherly instinct to not wish any harm upon the children. i wish to devour the unborn
The blond woman approached the opposite counter and grabbed the glass of water that she had left out the night before, hoping that the refreshment would at least refresh her ability to articulate words into proper sentences.
As the woman drank from the glass she found herself finding the right words. "I just..want things to go back as they were, is that too bad to ask for? Or too strange? If so..I'm sorry." She apologized as she approached the man and draped her arms lightly around his neck, resting the side of her face on the top of his head.
Both of their lives were like going through hell day in and day out, but would they even be happy if their lives were not like that? Aria kissed the man's hair and tried her absolute best to hide the fact that she was crying. "It just isn't normal for the likes of to try and be normal. It just isn't us." She stated quietly as she dropped her arms and stepped away from the man.

cowboys & angels, we ride side by side - a cloud of dust, a ray of light
When Rhyder had finally accepted his future father role, there was no denying it took a lot of personal motivation and guts to even confess to such. Generally, Rhyder didn't give two shits about expressing his opinions, however when it came to something that was deemed personal, the man both internally and externally shut down.
He didn't like showing a weak side, even to Aria of all people, no, especially to Aria. He was indeed her safeguard, and while somewhere confusion over just how he was supposed to act and support her filed in, Rhyder had made the final decision to do right by her. To suck it up and man up for the sake of the blonde haired woman standing before him.
Which is how he came to be struck silent by her words. Her answer didn't do a bit of good, evident by the deep sigh exhaled while continuing to focus on his boots, eyes starting to harden over. It'd be a lie to say he wasn't becoming upset.
When Aria turned to retrieve a glass of water, Rhyder paused to look up and silently watch her move about the kitchen, only to return to his work when she returned. However as she kissed the top of his head, Rhyder placed the cloth of the counter and sat back.
"I don't see anything normal about us," He simply stated matter-of-factly before exhaling a snort, "we're not normal, I think we're the furthest from normal." Placing a hand on the counter, his palms clutched into a upward fist before looking up to Aria. "I wasn't anything better then than I am now, I don't know why you're wanting to go back to those times."
Rhyder's words weren't harsh, but they gave a clear path to the ruts he fought so hard to get out of, not so much his 'limelight' ways, no that was still there, somewhere, but something more personal than that. His past with Aria. you girl

some words victoria is about to make them into a thrift shop You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty The man's tone of voice was enough to make Aria wish she hadn't said anything in the first place. Did he always have to be such an ass? It was evident that the man clearly didn't understand where the woman was coming from.
And from his point of view, the man obviously didn't find the hardships that they had endured over the past few years to have any relevance or importance.
Whether or not the man had meant his tone or his words to sound harsh, Aria would of course think of the negative side. "You don't even understand do you.." She spoke as her own expression hardened, her neutral expression altering.
Even though their past had been one of complete shit, the woman had strangely enjoyed the things that had brought the pair together, strengthening their bonds in more ways than one. In her heart, she believed that the bond she shared with Rhyder was stronger than any other for the fact that they did go through the shittiest things together.
But settling down and having children? It just didn't seem right. At first, she had wanted to keep the children and claim the title of a mother. Perhaps her decision had came about because she had failed so many pregnancies before. "Just sitting here and biding our time just isn't how it isn't supposed to be for us. Can you even picture us as parents? We can barely look after ourselves.. Do you even know how scared I am about that? Do you realize that I'm afraid of how it would change us? Bloody hell...God forbid if it...if it tore us apart... That's happened too many times before.. I can't lose you again Rhyder.. I just can't..." She trailed off as she inhaled deeply.
She was to the point where she was pacing the floor, something her older brother often did when he was troubled by something. She never could quite find the right thing to say and whenever she did manage to say something, it always seemed to be the wrong thing.
As she rounded the interior of the kitchen she would soon realize that she would become a mother sooner than she would have expected, or wanted. For whatever reason on the god forsaken earth, the demon spawn babies decided they would come into the world sooner than never. what even is this "R-rhyder..." She squeaked, half bewildered and half frightened.

No, Rhyder didn't understand where Aria was coming from, much less if the woman standing before him was in fact Aria herself by the words coming from her mouth. Multiple times had tension and anger escalated just over the subject of this, children, pregnancies, mistakes, typically leaving Aria in tears and Rhyder searching for the quickest route to the county line.
Why the change of mind all a sudden? Where was this when he had first given the notion that kids were at one point never in his plans for the future, much less a committed relationship? Questions ran through the mans mind, rapidly gaining nonsensical ground.
Hearing Aria rant sported Rhyder to drag a palm down his face and lean forward in the chair, "Oh woman you're killin' me..." he groaned, kneading his eyes with his hand. It was like watching himself pace the floor and throwing out the same questions and assumptions he had all those months ago.
Sure Rhyder still had these kinds of days, the ones where he wanted to press stop, rewind, then throw the tape out a window, but he never did. The man thought over what he wanted to say while continuing to knead his eyes, however was cut short. "What?" Rhyder looked up in half-alarm to Aria before taking a moment to realize what had happened.
"Is it time? Is it, are they, already? Oh shit let's go." Words fell out in a jumbled mess as Rhyder swept the boots from the counter and threw them on. Jumping to his feet, Rhyder trucked for the front door and swung it open. "C'mon before you end up giving birth in my truck." He humorously called to Aria, holding the front entrance open.

some words notes: i know nothing of childbearing. this is obvious. my logic: childbirth = lion king at least i didn't get in detail ple dat just nastee
You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty Perhaps the man would never understand how the woman's mind worked, or any woman really. Knowing the former bachelor's own opinions of the world and women alike, Aria should have known better than to think that he would actually understand what she was getting at in the first place.
As she hobbled over towards the man's location, a million and one thoughts ran through her mind all at once. Is it time? What's going to happen? Is it supposed to start like this? She asked herself repeatedly as she forced a grimace like smile in response to the cowboy what kinda of cowboy is scared of horses and mosied out the door towards the truck.
~blah blah circle of life blah blah lion king blah blah simba mufasa WHO KILLED MUFASA blah blah time skip~
The circle of life would soon continue it's seemingly neverending cycle hakuna matata as Aria had finally become a mother. Being a mother was something she never would have thought of achieving at any point in her life, but here she was watching two nurses return with a pair of babies wrapped in seduction blankets.
Tired hazel eyes soon filled with some look of admiration, affection even as she was handed one of the youngsters, the little girl. "She's so small." no shit teen mom She whispered as she observed the squirming crusty crust baby.
The newly dubbed mother studied the baby girl's head of light blond colors, akin to her mother's own hair. "She's..she's got your eyes." children of the gods She whispered as she leaned down and placed a light kiss on top of the child's forehead before looking over to see the other nurse offering the baby boy to the likes of Rhyder.
It was weird, being a mother and only about twenty five seconds in. She had gone from raging hormone-ridden she-beast and now she was expected to just hang up her coat and act like a nun goddess to a bundle of apparent joy?
A frown came upon her features and her brow furrowed as she set her own mind to work, attempting to make sense of the situation. But she was left speechless as he looked over and met Rhyder's gaze yeah parenthood ain't gonna last long, silently wondering what his own opinion on the matter would turn out to be in the end.
Somehow the tables had turned and she was the one who was frightened aka coward and looking for a way out, but here she was, heart torn between a man that she knew she loved, and the two products of said love.
You couldn't put a return policy of love.

cowboys & angels, we ride side by side - a cloud of dust, a ray of light
After pacing more in a handful of hours than he ever had in his lifetime, the nervous wreck of a new father finally gained enough sense to claim the seat next to Aria's hospital bed, more so to continue fighting off the effects of nearly fainting a few times in between paces and all things baby-birthing related.
Rhyder didn't know what to do, nor think, or even feel. He sat leaning forward, clasped hands jolting atop his nerve-stricken knees. The man's stomach was in knots, nerves from all angles and origins of emotion twisting around one another. The new label slapped over his life was well, new, and he still didn't know how to make out the spelling of 'FATHER.' And twins? Don't even get him started.
Before his nerves could fumble over that subject, the creak of the door brought Rhyder to his feet as two nurses walked in, a blue hued bundle in one's arms, a pink in the other's. Rhyder's stomach pitted as he gulped, silently watching the nurse hand Aria the pink bundle, only to have the other nurse approach him with the blue bundle.
Hearing Aria mention his own eyes, the man hesitated taking the blue bundle, yet eventually found a hold that felt most secure. Rhyder glanced to Aria for a brief moment, as if looking for some sort of security before looking down, a motion that instantly forced the man to sit back down in his seat.
"I've never seen one so small..." Rhyder said aloud after a moment, his drawl unnaturally softened. Slumbering peacefully, the newborn boy easily tucked between the man's wrist and bicep. It was an unnatural emotion, at one end Rhyder felt out of place, but at the same time he honestly felt himself falling in love, and he was. omggggggggg stahhppp your killin meee
It took the nurses voicing their temporary departure from the new family to pull Rhyder back into reality. Awkwardly making sure his own bundle was secure in his arms, the man looked to an unsure Aria, their gazes meeting. And after a moment, somehow, Rhyder instantly knew what he wanted, and knew exactly what was on Ri's mind. The tables had turned.
At a snail's pace, Rhyder rose to his feet and approached the bed. He quietly studied the baby girl in Aria's arms before murmuring, "She's got your hair, and lips." The man's hazel eyes looked back to the blonde woman, the mother of his children, his eyes intently looking into Aria's, subtly giving her his set decision.

some words notes: shamwow! You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty Aria wasn't even in a position where she could run, she was the mother of this man's children. And when she had first set her eyes on the baby girl? She couldn't or rather wouldn't let go for either child.
She found herself studying Rhyder's gaze and knew too well what his subtle silence was saying, she didn't need words. She never did. The mother found herself casting a glance to Rhyder that soon took on of love and deep affection. Her gaze shifted to the bundled boy in the man's own arms, a tiny replica of Rhyder almost. "If I didn't know any better..I would have thought that you had birthed that baby boy yourself." She gave a tired smile for the boy was practically the man's spitting image.
The world would soon have another breathtaking bachelor on it's hands, Aria already knew. "I'm sorry." She whispered quietly as she shifted the baby girl so that she was nestled securely against her arm before reaching out with her free hand and briefly grasping the man's arm. "I wasn't make sense earlier...and I look at our children and I can't believe I had ever wanted to say what I said in the first place.." She murmured as she withdrew her hand and cradled the little girl once more.
It was then that the woman realized that the children needed names, something that the world would know them by. "We should name the boy after you." Because why not? Definitely looked like a junior okay john boy Although the little girl in her own arms gave her pause, what was her name to be?
She studied the little angel in her arms wondering what to call her and looked to Rhyder, figuring he should decide on a name. "What do you think?' She asked quietly after a brief moment.
The woman then remembered that she nor Rhyder had never even told her brother that she had been pregnant in the first place. A frown set in on the woman's features as she tried to figure out whether to tell her brother or hide it from him. Was it wrong that she would a bit frightened by her brother's opinions?
It would appear that the baby girl in the woman's arms wasn't too pleased with her mother's sudden tensed demeanor and she soon began to cry, a shrill sound. "Oh, I'm sorry little one. Shh..it's okay." She murmured as she tried her best to comfort the child and thankfully her daughter soon quieted.
Before she could say what was on her mind the pair of nurses came to retrieve the children for the day, whisking them faster than Aria would have liked. When she saw the door close behind them she immediately glanced to Rhyder. "What about...Kyle?" She hated to ruin the moment, but she desperately needed to know if her brother would hate her for her actions and decisions.

cowboys & angels, we ride side by side - a cloud of dust, a ray of light
Rhyder noticed a shift in Aria's expression as they communicated through gaze, the silence of the room showcasing the depth of the man and woman's relationship. The new father looked down to the newborn boy in his arms as Aria eventually commented about him. It brought out a small, genuine grin as Rhyder studied his son. "If he's my spittin' image, I look like some alien." The man softly snorted.
He didn't have to linger over Aria's apology, acts of desperation were all to familiar to the man. Rhyder brushed it off with a shake of his head, "Ah, don't worry about it." and chuckled at the woman's name suggestion. "Me?" Rhyder had to think about it for a moment, feeling even more out of place by it.
It was an honor to have your named carried on, but what had he ever done to deserve that? "Yeah, sure, we can do that." The man partially agreed, more for the sake of agreeing to something.
But what of a girls name? Rhyder attempted to think over it, however was drawn off subject by the newborn girl's cry. Her brother slightly stirred in Rhyder's arms, however fell back into his deepened slumber when the room quieted. It was just in time for the nurses to reappear and ask for the children, which Rhyder reluctantly adhered to.
Rhyder folded his arms as he watched the door close, then looked to Aria as she immediently spoke up. The man's eyes widened at her question. "Kyle?" Rhyder repeated, pausing, "Ahh shit, you never told him, did you?" Had it really been that long since he'd seen his best friend?

some words notes: You never lived to see what you gave to me One shining dream of hope and love Life and liberty It would have been nice to gain a sense of relief when the bundles of apparent joy were taking from the room for the day, but the mention of her brother just seemed to dampen the air of the room.
She moved slightly in the rather uncomfortable bed to acquire a better sitting position before reaching for the man's hand. "You told me not to, remember? I haven't told anyone." When the man ever told the woman to not do something, she would respect his word. There had never been a time when Aria had gone behind the man's back and done something, not even before they had officially became involved with one another in a relationship.
The woman took an uneasy breath, her heart pounding in her chest at the thought of her brother finding out that she was a mother now. "Rhyder, I'm scared. I don't want Kyle to go monkeyshat and try to hurt you again." Leave it to Aria to butcher a curse word and put someone else's well being above her own.

cowboys & angels, we ride side by side - a cloud of dust, a ray of light
To say Rhyder was merely concerned about Kyle's reaction would be an understatement, Kyle was going to go ape shit, there was no question. And to be honest, Rhyder was pretty sure Aren wouldn't even dare try to stand in Kyle's way again from going at his throat.
Rhyder kneaded his jaw in contemplation, brainstorming just what in God's name was he to say to Kyle when an echoing ring in Aria's voice got his attention. "Do what?" The man asked, partially confused by the unnatural sound, but just as the words were spoken, the hospital door swung open, ushering in a ray of light that instantly blinded the man, followed by a rush of chills over his body.
"Cooper! Get the hell up, you drunk!" A familiar voice demanded as a man threw an empty ice bucket at Rhyder, the frozen contents of it now littering the sheets blanketing the drunken country artist. Groaning in partial anger, a just-woken Rhyder dragged his hands down his face, "Turn the damn lights down, I can't see a thing." He blinked, eventually propping himself on an elbow to register the interior of his tour bus, more specifically his sleeping quarters.
The man standing at the end of his bed, now confirmed to be his manager of a less-than-daunting five foot five inches, shook his head while adverting his own attention to the side of Rhyder's bed where a slender brunette was quickly gathering her things. "Huh..." Rhyder leaned back and exhaled a long, self-assured sigh while the two men watched her scamper off the bus, bid adieu by a smug grin from Rhyder.
The 25-year-old's expression clashed with the older manager's glare as their attention returned to each other, a short span of silence spreading through the bus before his manager again shook his head as if dismissing a thought, "You've got a show in half an hour. Sober up or drop down a pay class, you're not going out on stage drunk again." Blankly studying the shorter man for a moment, Rhyder simply waved a hand in reply and rolled his legs off the bed into a sitting position.
Rhyder's manager irritably continued, "I ain't kiddin' you, Rhyder, be outside in ten, and do us all a favor and find a cure for your alcohol problem in that time." and with that exited the bus. Glancing toward the door, it took a moment for Rhyder to remember the pile of ice laying on his bed. The Georgian native dismissed it, surprisingly, too focused on the feeling of extreme exhaustion over a layer of just being flat out drunk as per the norm.
It felt like he hadn't slept in weeks, which was partially true on one hand however odd for him to even acknowledge it on the other. But that's when the memory of a dream floated back to him, instantly causing the man to grimace at the last image in his head. Children, and a wife? No, some girlfriend, a girlfriend, it made Rhyder snort at the thought. But it was a dream, an extremely long one at that, or more so something of a humorous nightmare to Rhyder.
Shaking his own head, Rhyder rubbed his reddened eyes and grumbled, "Holy hell, I really gotta lay off the Everclear before bed."
