VIVIENNE HUGHES Vivienne went to the place she felt most comfortable, very common for any horse obsessed girl. But, the barn was indeed very relaxing. It was also her work place, and it could make things very awkward, but that was only if Vivienne looked at it that way. Every stable needed a manager, she had applied and got the job. Not that it was good pay, but it was steady income. And, steady income was what Vivienne needed. And, she was technically working two jobs, she was a rider for the stables. It was more than enough money for Vivi to make a living on, and keep her horse. She had been mighty stupid to buy a horse, one of the bad memories as a child had been losing her horses due to her parents financial situation. It was a fear that Vivienne had to deal with everyday, scared that someone would take her precious Leo away. Okay, he was a handful...All stallions were. She had bought the stallion only a few months ago to be fairly honest, she was still getting to know his kinks and everything. Vivienne was perfectly capable of handling stallion, she had tons of horse experience. Even after her family had lost the horses when Vivienne was little, they had still a ton of involvment with the horses. But, in all honesty, geldings were much easier to handle. And, just because her Leo was well behaved, did not mean she treated him any differently.
Testosterone could make one react for no reason at all, and she had even considered gelding Leo. But, she had also reasoned that he already knew what he was. And, she was not stupid to realize that it could bring in potential money. After all, Leo was a grade A stallion, well would be with a little bit more work. Today had been frustrating as hell, people were whining and bitching about something that had yet to be done. She wasn't a superwoman, she could only work at a certain pace. People like that annoyed the crap out of Vivienne, people that complained far too much about things. Most of them had it better off, were boarders, and were practically rich. She was grateful for the fact that she worked at a barn, and her horse happened to be boarded there. She knew exactly what she needed in order to relax. If she didn't relax, the next step would be hyperventilating and she truly did not want it to come to that. The sound of Leo nickering was reassuring, he knew very well by now who owned him. She laughed slightly as she watched him pace in his stall, he knew that he was going to be let out. When she reached the stall door, she gave him a small pet on the nose. She untied his lead rope and proceeded to open the stall door, quickly snapping the lead rope to his halter.
She patted the stallion on the shoulder, leading him to the tack room area. She snapped on some cross ties and left to get the tack she needed. When she returned the stallion was still there waiting patiently with impeccable manners. He was probably the biggest stallion in the stables, he was gigantic at seventeen point two hands, a gentle giant. She got out the curry comb, and quickly brushed him down. She was so lost in her world right then, Vivienne probably would have not noticed if anyone approached her.

[googlefont="Old Standard TT"] 700 WORDS - TAG @viviennehughes- NOTES: Gah, sorry. Finally got it done xP [attr="class","edmess"] So she didn't exactly have the 'best' social life. It wasn't like she meant for it to be that way. It just... happened. Though that probably wasn't too shocking, given her personality and habits. Usually burying herself in her work, her garden, or her work with her horse. If she ever got out of her usual routine there was a higher probability of finding someone like herself, but she wouldn't. Why?
For one it wasn't in her nature. Being too reserved, lacking the ability to walk into social situations, or perhaps just the dislike of doing so, would only mean she continued to remain alone. She'd grown used to it of course, throughout her high school career she was constantly being reminded of how different she was. She could manipulate the earth, plants and the like. Paired with the fact that she refused to wear makeup and dedicated her life to making sure her diet was vegan, she was labeled as a hippy. Which wasn't true, but was enough to send people away. She wouldn't mind too much, she refused to conform to others thoughts of who she should be and therefore wouldn't care if she were alone. Her life was pleasant that way, simple, quiet, things she enjoyed thoroughly. For the most part.
The young woman had used her day off to spend it with her favorite (and only) gelding Red. The barn was where she spent most of her time anyways, the nature and the horses were soothing. Especially in times of stress or anxiety, however this day she would be neither. This day she'd just needed to spend time with her favorite little gelding. Or, perhaps little was an understatement. Standing at 16hh, perhaps not the shortest horse at the barn but also not the tallest by far. Surrounded by fancy eventing warmbloods the chestnut could easily classified as short though Thalia didn't mind. He was plenty tall enough for her.
She made it her first priority to retrieve the beast from his field, quickly spotting his coppery hide among his pasture mates. A small smile met her features, shifting through the piles of halters on the fence to find his familiar royal blue one. Upon finding it she entered the pasture, lifting her dark brown eyes to survey the field once more and calling out a, "Red!"
The sorrel gelding rose his head, ears flicking towards Thalia's thin frame, but making no motion to advance towards her. Thalia's eyes rolled lightly in good humor, obviously he just didn't feel like approaching this day. She began the trek up to the stubborn animal, taking the opportunity to soak in the warmth of the sun on her back. Nature had always been where she was most at home. She slipped the halter over Red's nose as she met him, following a pat on the neck. Now returning to her original direction the woman made her way up to the barn.
The geldings shod hooves clacked against the concrete barn floor as he was hesitantly led into the aisle way. Naturally Thalia began her search for any signs of other humans, if only to prepare herself for social interaction. She wasn't shocked to realize that she did indeed have company, turning the corner to set her eyes on a massive stallion in the cross ties. A person couldn't be too far away, her gaze flicked away to curiously look for the animals owner. It wasn't long before she spotted the woman by it's side. Thalia tensed slightly, holding Red from advancing much further. "I uh.." Even from such little speech the woman had quite a beautiful voice, light with obvious British background. However she fully expected the stranger to give her some scrutinizing glare, therefore she backed her thoroughbred several steps and resorted to placing him on the set of cross ties closest to them. "Sorry."

Hickory Dickory Dock The horse jumped over the clock A lost horse has wandered onto the premises! The stallion wandered onto the gravel lot of the property, his eyes looking about him quite curiously. His coat had once been a brilliant grey, but his recent adventures had robbed him of that beauty.
He possessed no brands, only a few scrapes from misfortunate encounters with brush within the woods. Standing about sixteen point two hands with apparent Thoroughbred and Warmblood ancestry, he appeared to bear resemblance to a former Olympic eventing champion. He was young, approximately five years of age.
The only proof he possessed of ever being owned by anyone was the poor excuse for a nylon halter that was now rubbing into his face.
Hearing commotion from within the barn, the stallion trotted over towards the building with a curious nicker, having no fear as he happily moved down the barn aisle.
The Horse With No NameA horse has wandered in!What will you do?a) Call the animal shelter to come get himb) @thalia attempts to capture himc) @viviennehughes attempts to capture him d) Both women chase him off the premisesUnknown to the women, this horse is actually a son of top eventing sire Brandenburg's WindstarRespond with your choice before replying with a post. If B or C is chosen, please choose Heads or Tails

[googlefont=Inconsolata] Sometimes, she couldn't help but wonder if Leo was a stallion at all, but the evidence was there, her boy was not gelded. She trusted her stallion to stand there in cross ties and not cause a huge scene, mainly because there was no mare in heat around. He was the very definition of a gentle giant, he was seventeen point two hands. She was very comfortable with her boy around others, calm and collected, her stallion was a dream to ride. But, there were moments when Vivienne wished for more. She wished to be able to jump again, to get over the paralyzing fear that so often or not consumed her almost every day of her life. But, she could still picture it, her beloved horse being put down from taking a fence wrong. And, it had turned out not to be her fault in the end, it had been a hairline fracture that went undetected and snapped when they took that jump. She would never forget the snapping sound, just the sound of it made Vivienne shudder.
She knew Leo was capable of so much more, but she kept him in dressage, and she was pretty content to stay right there. But, it was the fear that truly paralyzed her, and Leo was much to big to make a good upper lever jumper. She had dreams though, haunting dreams that reminded her so much of what the thrill of jumping was. But, she was so scared of losing a horse... She couldn't do it.She was so lost in thought, she had lost track of what she was doing exactly. The moments were rare, but the thoughts of her past horse came to mind every so often. She was a sensitive person, she remembered him quite well, and it only led to a depression. And, believe it or not, it was why Vivienne didn't have any friends yet, she was very depressed lately and she figured other people probably noticed. She smiled at the appearance of her boy's sleek shiny black pelt. She laid a hand on his shoulder, his coat was soft, he was a real beauty.
She felt his muscles tense, his nostrils flaring as he seemed to be alert to someone approaching. Vivienne looked up to access her surroundings, wondering who was exactly coming her way. Her stallion let out a whinny, making it clear that there was another horse coming. She looked up to see a smaller chestnut gelding and a girl with reddish colored hair. She smiled, noticing how uncomfortable the girl was. The woman apologized, stumbling over them, Vivi smiled once again in hopes of giving her more confidence. The woman seemed to have an accent, a very distinct one, british maybe. "It's okay, Leo's pretty calm around other horses." Vivienne had a distinct accent herself, given she was from one of the southern states of America. She bit her lip, hoping the woman wasn't too anisocial and could maybe have a conversation with her.
She was distracted by the sound of a nicker, the sound of hooves heard on the cement floor of the barn. She turned around to notice a sixteen hand gray stallion, Leo was quite aware of that. She frowned, not wanting a fight. "What do we do?" She was unsure, the stallion seemed pretty wild.
@thalia I'm a Simple Small town girl
