[attr="class","boxas"] Quintin "Penguin" Ainsworth Basics Recent Thread: N/A. Themes: Mr Brightside, Colourblind, Flaws, Stop and Stare. Species: Human. Distinguishing Characteristics?: Generally, Penguin has a highly distinguished facial composition, with a pointed nose and oddly piercing blue-green eyes emphasised by the dark rings caused by his Insomnia. A strange curvature of his cheek bones gradually ascend into fairly average ears, and a head of fine, dark hair. His complexion pale and fairly odd to the eye, a scrawny physique possesses little, if not no, muscle, hence forcing him to rely on vocal resolve when drawn in to conflict. His personal preference on terms of clothing vastly rest around suits, but occasionally may slip through to a jumper when alone. However, perhaps the most defined feature, the thing that gave him his nickname, is the hobbling limp he is forced to walk with; a strange stumble of sorts with each pace, due to a lifelong hip ailment. Personality: From an early age Penguin was never very physically strong or appealing and, as such, has been forced him to apply his naturally keen intellect, which can be noted to be sometimes sinister even in the most mundane of discisions. His particular ambitious nature have him lusting to be higher than he is, and likely won't stop until gaining himself some sort of creditable position, determined to do as such. Penguin's decisive nature, paired with his mental capabilities, generally result in making swift decisions for the better of himself as a pose to those around him; perhaps in such a sense he could be considered cold-hearted, which is oddly appropriate for his nickname. Jealousy is a large, defining trait in Penguin's personality; what he does not have, he near always wants. He is resourceful and crafty, using indirect and deceitful methods, and that he manages to draw around him. Penguin is generally respective and not at all facetious. He also has a tendency to get extremely nervous at times, and stutters plenty as a result. HORSES Registered Name: Requiem for a Dream. Barn Name: Requiem. Breed: TB x Arab x AQH. Gender: Mare. History In spite of much of Penguin's history being a blur to himself, it will be inputted here for the sake of later reference. Born into the world much later than originally suspected, Quintin was born into a large family consisting mostly of his parent's sons and daughters, and like most of them, he began as no more than a gurgling bundle of flesh plastered into his exhausted mother's arms, born with a strange hip deformity that the doctors had little to no experience in dealing with. The child adjusted steadily to life in the family house, constantly being prodded and poked by his elder siblings, who could only seem to be deterred by his mother's word. Though adjusting to the new environment was difficult, their residence housing many, and thus space cramped, but he managed just fine. His mother tended to make more of a fuss of him due to his lifelong hip deformity, though at the time he didn't savour her attention in the way that he would come to. His siblings, when he was no more than four years old, would mock and shove him out of the way. School was, no doubt, a hurdle; children can be cruel, even in their early years. Considered a social outcast, the young boy spent most of his time with the others that were rejected attention from their peers, and managed to make very few friends. His hobble hindered him, and since he wasn't physically appealing, he relied on vocals to get himself out of the stickier situations. It was during his school years that his nickname was provided, due to his strange gait and developing cold personality. Throughout the several schools he was moved to by his overprotective mother, the same nickname kept resurfacing, and eventually plagued his mind so much that he accepted it. That was his first mistake, he gave them their sick satisfaction. It only progressed from there, to a point of constantly being caked in mud as a result of being shoved to the ground; even his siblings sought to join in. Due to his weak physical strength, and not being able to find the words to say, all he could do was bear it. His thoughts gradually sought to grow more critical and dark. He would create drawings of his abusive peers and siblings with some cause of death in the scene; slitted throats, knives in the body, and being run over were common for him to depict. When the now dubbed Penguin was of eleven years old, his father came to die, being shot in the alleys of New York as he was returning from work. While he, himself, did not care too much for his father's loos, never having been close with him, his mother was utterly distraught. So much so, that they were driven to move away from the city, and out towards the countryside, and took up residence there. From such a point, Penguin no longer received the majority of his mother's affection, as she became so retained that he barely saw her in weeks. And, directly on the day of his seventeenth birthday, he found her dead in her bedroom, with slitted wrists, her battle with depression ending. He grieved, much more than his siblings. The eldest of his brothers, aged twenty-nine at the time, managed the household, and managed to get them back into school, where it was the same ballgame. Penguin, penguin, penguin, to a point where if one was to say "Quintin," the others would not know them. But, oh, if they said "Penguin," instant recognition would be sourced. He loathed them; there was not much more to say. He did well in his classes, but remained at the bottom of the foodchain, so to speak. University went very much the same way; gaining fair grades for his situation and a solid base for any job applications, Penguin managed to secure a job washing dishes for a local restaurant, and kept that until he reached twenty-eight, growing sick of even them nicknaming him and acting abrasively; treating them lower than himself. So, he packed up, and left the job and his siblings behind, moving for a better life in Aurora. | [attr="class","sigh"]Human [attr="class","sigh"]Male [attr="class","sigh"]Twenty-Eight [attr="class","sigh"]Bisexual [attr="class","sigh"]Scrawny [attr="class","sigh"]5'8 [attr="class","sigh"]Jet Black [attr="class","sigh"]Blue-Green [attr="class","sigh"]Currently Job Browsing [attr="class","fall"] Robin Lord Taylor - Quintin "Penguin" Ainsworth. |
