what if tomorrow is too Everything once promised, confided, and shared between the two was shattered, fragmented and discarded into the darkest corners of his mind in effort to forget about them. Long since having found himself alone in the world, cast off into the world like a young man to war, he had nobody to confide his problems with, to talk to. He had nobody to cheer him up, nobody to love, or nobody to love him back. He had nobody. His seeming intolerance for pain, leaving no weakness, however, had dismissed that notion all the same, for he had no capability to love any longer. He hadn't need for it, after all.
Blue hued irises, shrouded with the growing darkness of the surroundings, surveyed the terrain ahead. The dappled light of the occasional passing street light reflected from their depths as they drifted about the area, a hushed huff escaping his throat. He was bored, that much was for sure; venturing out on the town had offered the possibility of some fun, though thus far, he'd only managed a very bland conversation with a brown-haired woman and he pretty-eyed friend. What were their names again? Oh well; not like it mattered too much, as nothing had resulted from his attempts to form a conversation with them. They were too plain for his tastes. His large frame moved along the path with a disgruntled grunt, trying to figure if there was anything remotely interesting about the place. The dark, the quiet; it was all disappointing emptiness at this hour.

MY KISS IS A LIFE TAKER... Mickey didn't have anything to complain about. Her life was good, her crush for Bryce had almost dissipated completely. He was now just some big goofy best friend rather than something that could be. His girlfriend was lucky that was for sure but she was her own woman and could get men as easily as she'd like. Besides there were plenty of fish in the sea, she'd get a special someone soon enough... even if that soon enough was closer than it seemed to be.
She wasn't sure how the little bugger got out, but the Angora bunny had. The little scamp had gotten out of the fire escape and hopped his way down the rickety old stairs. She woke up from the lack of warmth near her arms, shifting around in her bed to find that she had escaped. The young girl threw on a leather jacket over her tank-top covered form and threw on some shorts to leap onto the rusty black stairs. Her cat-like sense of smell followed the scent trail her precious bunny had left.
She ran through the streets, the light illuminating her athletic frame briefly, teal eyes flickering frantically around. Who knows, she could get hit by a truck or get killed by a hunter like Bryce. Worn out sneakers squeaked against the ground as she ran through the dead of the night. Finally did she spot the little sooty gray bunny, thin hands reaching out to try and grab the bunny.
The blonde woman soon found herself grabbing the man's collar and jerking him forward. "Don't stroke the fire, Bryce." She purred viciously in an almost seductive way. "Too late." He answered as they pressed their lips together. Bliss over came the giddy and eager woman. Oh how flustered she could become in a matter of moments.
Her eyes widened slightly, stumbling over her feet and tripping onto her stomach and chest. With a grunt she laid there, gaze watching the ever smaller form of her companion hopping away. She sighed softly, sitting up and rubbing her head in an effort to ease the pain. She snorted in distaste at the bruising and scrapes on her arms. "Even when i'm away you still bug me." She grumbled under her breath until she stood up and brushed her shorts off. The cold night air blew at her, causing her to shiver slightly but having thick skin had its benefits.
Mickey started walking again, shoving her hands into her pockets. The woman slowly followed the scent trail of her 'darling' little bunny. She released a yawn but was soon awaken, slamming her frame into the strong back of another. With a squeal of surprised, she stumbled backwards and squeezed her eyes shut to welcome the shooting pain of hitting the concrete ground, hands becoming fists. Her frame naturally tensed up, muscles bunching up beneath her calloused and dry skin that coated her body.

what if tomorrow is too The throbbing pain left in his chest had long since been dismissed, mostly due to the fact that it hurt more to maintain than let go. Or at least, he thought he had let it go. Somehow, in every woman he met he searched for her, for any little resemblance he could cling to. He hated the thought of another man laying a hand on her, to harm her, to love her, to touch her. He purely wanted to remember the time before the blurred flurry of events that tore them apart. He was left the wander the empty streets, listening intently to the sound of his own footsteps; shutters closed, blinds drawn, doors locked against him. He honestly wasn't sure whether he was walking towards something, or merely trying to walk away from it all.
However, it seemed fate would simply not leave room for any form of silenced escapade, only finding further ways to aggravate him. And, as such, pale irises came to fall upon a strange, bouncing, furred mass. The miniature, seemingly fluffy, critter traversed promptly across the terrain in exaggerated bounds, and as it would have it, straight towards him. Remaining rather still as it scrabbled across the pavement, his hands abruptly shot out when it entered his vicinity, aiming to clamp the critter's stomach and draw it up into his arms, holding it awkwardly, a perplexed look falling onto his features. "The fuck are you?" he mumbled, his skull craning to the side, blue hued irises surveying the furred critter. Readjusting his grip, he curiously surveyed the furred being, "some kind of overgrown rat?" Truth be told, in all his years, he had never set eyes on a rabbit, ridiculous as that might have sounded. His finger gently reached over to prod the furry hide, snorting lightly. However, he would soon be interrupted by a sudden weight rebounding from his back.
The male's weight jerked in surprise, twisting on the heel, blue irises knotting to the collapsed form on the terrain. There wasn't time to consider what he was saying before sharp words shot from his mouth, gaze narrow. "Watch where the fuck you're going!" Dumb bitch. Oh wait, was he not supposed to act gentlemanly? Right, shit. "I mean, uh, apologies, ma'am. Are you alright?" His weight crouched beside the feminine, still clutching the odd critter with his other arm, one hand extending to gently touch the woman's shoulder. "You're not hurt too badly?" His irises knotted down towards the furred critter, tilting his head once again. "This little... Uh... Creature would belong to you, would it?"

MY KISS IS A LIFE TAKER... Mickey knew fair and square what loyalty was. Bryce was struggling to find where his laid but it was still there all the same. You know it's bad when you're too dedicated and loyal, hm? Staying true to two girls wasn't exactly easy as your heart could lead to both of them then well you got Bryce and Mickey with the addition of his girlfriend. Not exactly a good relationship now, is it? Actually you could hardly call it a relationship to be honest. They were just 'Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum' as he referred to it. But she sure as hell ain't dum, right? Ah never mind!
Violet was suddenly snatched up by masculine hands, causing a squeak of surprise to erupt from her. Brown eyes wavered upwards in a shocked manner to land on the rectangle-like face. "The fuck are you?" She tilted her head to the side. Mama said that when she got mad! Was he mad? Please don't be mad! I swear I didn't do anything! She tried to say but speaking in bunny language to a human wasn't exactly the easiest thing in the world. "Some kind of overgrown rat?" She snorted defiantly. She wasn't no rat!... what's a rat again?
"Watch where the fuck you're going!" Anger quickly bubbled underneath her surface, distaste coaxing her features. "Let's get one thing straight here, buddy. I don't take no shit from nobody, got it?" The blonde woman quickly snapped back as hardened teal eyes stared up at the scruffy man with a glare. "I mean, uh, apologies, ma'am. Are you alright?" Taking on a new role, hm? She thought to herself before releasing a heavy sigh and shaking her head slightly. "I'm fine and dandy, thanks for asking." She answered as a hand rubbed the back of her neck. "You're not hurt too badly, right?" The woman shrugged her shoulders with a slight yawn. "Nah i'm fine. I got tough skin." She answered care-freely before her gaze was caught by her bunny who was bouncing up and down in the man's hands. "This little... uh... creature would belong to you, would it?"She nodded with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, that's my erhm bunny. She got out... again." She explained in a long-story short kind of way before her thin hands reached out to take hold of her little Violet. We'll have a talk when we get home. She seemed to say as a glare set on her pet before looking back up to the man. "Erhm... thanks." She grunted before standing up with relative ease. "I'm uh Mickey. Pleasure to meet you Mister?..." 454 words || SPARROW || It's great <3

what if tomorrow is too Pale irises surveyed the unknown, squeaking critter within his hands, a look of confusion passing over his features promptly as it tilted its oddly shaped head. Who ever knew that stray cats could cough up living furballs? He snorted lightly at the thought, though promptly returned his attention to the creature, still trying to figure out exactly what it was. What was that one holiday that one of these things supposedly carried out? Eastop? Probably Eastop. Something like that, anyway. His family had never celebrated it, but then, they didn't celebrate many of the common holidays that most commoners did. However, childhood memories were like airplane luggage for most, for no matter how far you were travelling, or how long you needed them to last, you were only ever allowed two bags. And while said bags might have held a few hazed recollections; a diner with a jukebox at the table, being pushed on a swing set, the feeling of the first day of school... It never seemed enough to last a lifetime.
A smirk of amusement passed over his features at the woman's angered response, his own brief infuriation. Women with fire in them always made for entertaining test subjects; he didn't choose to grace the woman with a response, merely focused on regaining his somewhat gentlemanly feigned demeanour. Gaze cascading down towards the woman, observing her, his gaze was purely more inquisitive than anything at the prospect of her fall. Whatever his words might have been, in this case a gentle questioning, there was no ounce of concern in his body to be portrayed. He long pushed out any sympathy he had for the world. Her gaze shoved up towards him, her facials twisting in his direction; truth be told, he was apparently lost for breath for a good few seconds, swallowing hard. Did everyone in this damn fucking town look like his sister? Every woman, there was some aspect, some feature - why? Coincidence was a concept he did not entirely trust. As someone who had spent his life exploring the hidden interconnectivity of disparate emblems and ideologies, he viewed the world as a web of profoundly intertwined histories and events. The connections may have been invisible for the most part, but they were always there, buried just beneath the surface. But even so, it was hard to believe it was anything more than coincidence. There was no god above, not in his eyes, for he was not one of religious belief. Were there any believable influences in the world that could amount to such a thing outside coincidence? Maybe it was all just a grain in the hourglass when it came down to it, but each face, he searched for signs of her, as if by instinct. Why? He was fairly unsure himself.
The deepened sigh of the feminine brought his attention snapping back to the present, his gaze swiftly fixating upon her own teal irises. "Good. That was... Quite the tumble there." His head tipped on one side, providing the woman a brief grin, though unable to prevent his gaze from wandering to the rest of her frame, surveying for potential injury. The resemblance with his sister was partially to blame for that fact; it sparked a faint overprotectiveness within him, as per norm. He was cursed with the fact that half the people he had met so far looked like her. Releasing a grunt of acknowledgement at her confirmation, his gaze cast towards the forgotten fluffy critter, attention returning to it. Gaining a confused look as the feminine extended her hands and took the critter, he attempted to echo the little thing's dubbing, and, well, failed miserably. "Boo-ney?" He snorted lightly at how strange it sounded, gaze falling towards this so called 'booney'. Sounded familiar, but not quite right. Ah well. "Does your booney have a name?"
Her thanking drew a subtle nod from the man, his gaze still set rather intently on her strange pet, though it shifted to the woman as she arose, setting promptly on her facials. Mickey. Sounded like some sort of cartoon character... Wasn't there that mickey moose or whatever? He waited a good few seconds before responding to her, curiously contemplating what exactly he should say. The streets were too open for his liking, and he'd be damned if he went through the intricate process of luring her into the woods. He had no patience for that, not tonight. "Menelaus. But really, just call me whatever you want. Most never use my full name," he shrugged dismissively, never having been too keen on the formalities of introductions. In fact, many people never get to hear my name. "... You shouldn't be wandering out here this late at night, even if your... Booney... Got out. You never know what kinds of humans will be hobbling 'round." W O R D S God knows. T A G @mickey played by CHESHIRE COTTON. N O T E S Omf. Booney. Eastop. Mickey Moose. Knocked me off the ground from the start You put your arms around me but I believe it's easier for you to let me go Seeing the look of confusion overcome the man made her snort, paws flip-flopping briefly as a sorry attempt for a flail. Put me down! She released a shrill cry, practically a form of a shriek as she twisted around in his large and masculine hands. Seemed like a bad idea to go out running away from home at this time of night. She let out a snort as her body didn't get the satisfaction of plopping on to the ground and relaxed slightly. Her tail briefly wagged, almost like a dismissal of her disapproval. Mickey would be coming soon and she could go home! Speaking of Mickey- the little rodent craned her thick head to look at the unsuspecting woman.
Mickey's eyes caught his little smirk, only making her snarl broaden in size. But it was abruptly dismissed, a snort passing through her nose in an attempt to calm herself down. Chest heaving heavily before dragging a hand across her features. Socializing with people who made her mad was pretty damn hard. Even harder when somebody cursed and shouted at her. Piss ass, go take a shit somewhere else. She hissed in the back of her mind before glancing away to look at the flickering light of a street-lamp. Why does a lightbulb burn out? What makes it so heated that it has to just shut off one day? Shaking her head slowly at her ridiculous thinking, she glanced down at the gray and white bunny in her feminine grasp. A small smile crossed over her face gently stroking it in a caring manner. "Violet, naught bunny." She scolded silently before glancing up at the man as if she was expecting him to say something.
"Good. That was... quite the tumble there." An eyebrow raised curiously with a snort of amusement, air puffing through her nose heavily but briefly. "Yeah and that was quite the mouth you had." She pointed out with a small smile of reassurance, almost like she was telling him it was okay. Her legs slowly shifted backwards to push off her feet and stand to her average height. She shifted her weight to one of her hips and tucked the bunny underneath an armpit. "Boo-ney?" Her eyebrows curved up in more of a disturbed fashion at his attempt to say the species' name. "Erhm... n-no, it's Bun-ey." She said with a small chuckle of amusement. "Does your booney have a name?" She glanced towards the fluffy creature between her arm and nodded before looking back to him. "Yeah. It's Violet." She nodded with a grin.
"Menelaus. But really, just call me whatever you want. Most never use my full name," She tilted her head to the side curiously before shaking her lean skull. "Nah, Menelaus is fine. It's rude not to use somebody's name so long as you use mine." She reassured kindly. "...You shouldn't be wandering out here this late at night, even if your... Booney... Got out. You never know what kinds of humans will be hobbling 'round." Strange how he referred to people as their species instead of simply saying people. It was a little weird, referring to them like he wasn't a part of them but she dismissed it. She was probably overthinking. "Well, if you're that cautious Mister Menelaus, how about you escort me home?" She asked in an almost innocent manner. Oh dear.
