HOW DO TRAINER'S MAKE MONEY?
UPDATING STATS
- As stated before, in order to train any horse you must first purchase a trainer's license
- The thing about trainer's licenses is, when purchased you must specify exactly WHICH trainer's license you'd like to purchase. You must first choose the discipline you'd like your character to have a license in (English, Western, or Racing) and then you must select the specialty which is basically one of the events from the disciple chosen. Upon buying a trainer's first license, the first specialty is free but any others must be purchased. In order to get a license in a different discipline, you must have first maxed five horses in their major stats for their event.
- There will be badges underneath the INVENTORY tab of your profile, (also clickable from your mini profile) where you can see which licenses that you have.
- Lastly, there is a license that allows trainer's to receive horses from the shop (name, breed, gender and stats generated by staff) for free BUT they are not allowed to directly own them. Trainers must select an event for the horse and must work to max the horse out in those stats, then they may sell the horse at the sale barn for money.
GETTING STARTED
- Alright, once you've purchased a trainer's license precede to go to the TRAINER LISTINGS thread, also located in the training board. There you will get your trainer registered under his/her licensed discipline and specialized event. If you were to purchase another license for another discipline, or buy another specialty, you will simply respond to that thread again, indicating the update to the information.
- Alright! Once you've done that here's the fun part! Head on over to the sub-board called Trainer's Commissions. What is that? Well, it basically works similar to how members set up art shops. We'll walk you step by step through the process.
- Step 1: Create a thread, title it whatever you'd like, ex: JANE'S WESTERN HORSE TRAINING, or even JACK'S EXPERT HORSE TRAINING, or whatever you'd like. We advise including your character's specialty and licensed discipline in the thread description
- Step 2: You may use whatever template you'd like to use to set up your "shop" for training horses. Just keep in mind one thread per trainer. What are you including in the shop? It'ls explained below.
- Step 3: Purchase some training regimens to list in your shop!
- Step 4: Get some people in that want their horses trained, earn money!
TRAINING REGIMENS
- Training Regimens are the most important part of training, they are what determines how many stats a horse is rewarded by a particular trainer
- Trainers must purchase training regimens from the 'Purchase Training Regimens' thread
- Each training regimen comes with a specific stat increase (all of which have a base of '5') and will increase a horse's stats by that amount specified for a particular stat.
- Certain training regimens are available for all trainers to use, but there are also Specialty Specific Training Regimens that are only for a trainer who is specialized for that event. These regimens will cater to the major stats for that event.
- Training Regimens that are not specialty specific only cater to ONE specific stat, instead of multiple stats like the specialized regimens.
ITEMS
- Trainer's purchase items [located in the trainer's shop] to increase how many stat points are given from any training regimen.
- Items must be bought per training regimen.
- Items are not to be listed in the trainer's shop, instead these are just to increase the stat output of the training regimens. Yes, you may buy multiple items.
Leveling Up Training Regimens
Levels are determined by how many stats are given per each stat, now for whatever stats are offered for a particular training regimen, refer below to see how many stat increases you need to level up a training regimen
Level 1: 5 stat pts
Level 2: 10 stat pts
Level 3: 15 stat pts
Level 4: 20 stat pts
Level 5: 30 stat pts
Level 6: 40 stat pts
Level 7: 50 stat pts
Level 8: 60 stat pts
Level 9: 70 stat pts
Level 10: 80 stat pts
Level 2: 10 stat pts
Level 3: 15 stat pts
Level 4: 20 stat pts
Level 5: 30 stat pts
Level 6: 40 stat pts
Level 7: 50 stat pts
Level 8: 60 stat pts
Level 9: 70 stat pts
Level 10: 80 stat pts
- That being the case, Training Regimens reach their maximum level at level 10.
INCREASING STAT OUTPUT FOR TRAINING REGIMENS
- Simple, just buy items from the TRAINER'S SHOP
- Do note that for horses trained, and depending on which training regimen they are trained in, the stats for that training regimen will increase by 1 Stat Point
- We trust you guys, and trust that you'll update your regimens honestly.
HOW DO TRAINER'S MAKE MONEY?
- Only trainers may purchase training regimens, and the items used to increase a set of stats
- It is up to the trainer to determine how much to provide their services to the public
- Also, please include in your trainer shops how much you're 'selling' training regimens for, for each purchased training regimen. From there, members choose which training regimen they'd like for each horse and money will be transferred once the trainer has 'accepted' the horse.
UPDATING STATS
- At this point, I'm sure you're wondering how you'd go about updating stats, well that's simple
