He'd had the pleasure of meeting his.. more predatory side as he had escaped his workplace the previous night, much to his dismay. Slinking through the undergrowth of the forest at three in the morning could have been considered a natural occurrence for the average predator, but he was no such thing. However comforting the night may be he despised it nonetheless. Or, perhaps not the night itself but the animal he became in it's presence. He found no enjoyment in becoming a large cat, though he had no choice nor control in the matter. Most would relish the power he possessed but he only found it to be a heavy burden, being much too prideful, too sophisticated to stoop to the level of an animal. The idea in itself was insulting, finding little allure to sporadically morphing into a volatile beast. It was almost clumsy, disorganized in nature, both of which he wouldn't stand. His denial towards his other form was quite strong despite the fact the signs clearly lingered in his demeanor. But this day? This day the only thing that lurked behind his chilly blue eyes was exhaustion. Pacing through the forest all night surrounded by the temptation of blood was tiring, as one could imagine. Luckily shifting back before day break had allowed him several hours sleep, but still left him drained. Even midday he found himself struggling to maintain any sort of attention on anything. That could prove to be dangerous, but what sort of trouble could he possibly find at a coffee shop? The well dressed man found himself at a secluded table near the back of the building, suit jacket draped over the chair in which he sat. He wasn't entirely trying to avoid others, he was far from shy, but he found himself doing just that regardless. Being easily distracted he preferred to separate himself from the others, always lingering in the outskirts. Especially so today when his attention span dwindled. He poured over a case, rather, attempted to, heavy eyes struggling over the sheet of paper in one hand and coffee in the opposite. How was anyone to focus with only four hours sleep? What was even worse was realizing his vulnerability at this particular time. Knowing that someone could waltz up and (attempt) to take advantage of him was a bit of a bizarre feeling for a predator such as himself. Luckily the coffee seemed to help him awaken a bit, clinging to the cup in which he sipped frequently as if it were going to save the day. This day he needed all the caffeine he could get. Cole soon discovered it impossible to drag his eyes across the page any longer, most likely just boredom, and shoving the file back into the briefcase that sat beside him. The man clipped the box shut and slid it under his chair, redirecting his slightly bloodshot eyes on the steaming drink in front of him. The warmth seeped through his palms and lulled him ever so slightly, a contrast to what he was currently needing, at least the liquid did the opposite. He already felt the stimulant working its way through his veins, bringing a certain light to his piercing gaze. He stared into the black liquid for several more moments before lifting his head to take in his surroundings. A sorry excuse as a feline shifter, at least at the moment, not being able to be in control of his environment..but at least now he would try. Pale blue eyes slowly drug themselves across the restaurant, lingering on each individual with some sort of interest, perhaps not the best sort, either. For behind those eyes would lie a good bit of judgement. Too short, too tall, too lumpy in all the wrong places. A light scowl reached his features, it appeared not even the people of the facility could hold his interest this day. [attr="class","petit"] [break] [attr="class","petitcontent"] [attr="class","petitcontentstyle"] [attr="class","petitfirstletter"]F ay looked waltzed into the local coffee joint with confidence clinging to her like a second skin. She's just successfully prosecuted and won her high end case and she was rewarding herself with her secret addiction - chai soy latte. She smoothed her immaculate black two piece business suite, her black blazer covering a magenta silk blouse tapering down to her black skirt with a business appropriate slit with a touch of seduction. She grabbed her clip and unwound her hair as she allowed herself to relax and take in quickly her new environment. She allowed her senses to expand, scenting the air and zeroing in on faces. She didn't know a soul in here, but she caught something more than the smell of humanity and coffee. She walked up to the counter and ordered her drink, her amber yellow eyes hunting through the masses to find the source of the scent that defined it's owner as something more. her cat was intrigued and she right along with it. The need to know and identify the owner of the scent was riding her hard - the need to asses the shifter as threat or prey. She didn't walk into situations blindly and didn't handle the unknown. Ever the control freak she quickly narrowed down her crowd as she walked to pick up her drink as the barista yelled her name out. [break][break] She grimaced at the use of her name, "Fay!" Already the shifter, if they had a lick of sense about them would have picked up on her presence the moment she walked in. It wasn't as if she had been hiding, but now they had her name too. She was just grateful she hadn't used her whole name, but a diligent person could pretty much find out anything these days. She finally found her prey as she moved towards the back of the shop. She should have just grabbed her coffee and walked, but it smelled to much of cowardice for her tastes and she never conceded ground to the enemy - and the unknown entity was just that an enemy until she could find and sort out just who this shifter was. Amber yellow eyes locked onto the man and watched with a predatory stare as he closed his business briefcase and took to taking in the shop. Her eyes willed him to land on her and match her gaze. She was determined to see the worth in this man. What kind of shifter was he? [break][break] She blatantly stared and studied him with her drink in her hand, standing in the aisle a good two feet away. He was dressed like a man that took pride in his appearance and his outfit bespoke of wealth and esteem. His business air lent him an official air, but his tired eyes only painted an instant image of weakness and her inner predator licked its lips in anticipation as she mirrored the action. A smooth pink tongue caressing the soft flesh of her lips as she determined to move forward. She herself had shifted recently allowing the black jaguar to have free reign and terrorize the night creatures, but she didn't feel the sluggishness of transformation, but rather invigorated. She was more than at peace with what she was and was never against using her natural born talents to further enhance her in the human world. [break][break] Neither judge nor jury in any court case she'd performed in had been able to hold her stare, to break her will. She carried power like a cloak and breathed confidence like air. She knew who and what she was, embraced it relished it and used it, but she couldn't say the same for the tired man before her clinging to his coffee cup like a lifeline. She moved closer and stopped at his table, her head quirked slightly in silent observation. Let him squirm. her cat hissed as she picked up on a nuance of his scent. This was no plain shifter, but another of her kind and her lip snarled in recognition. Cats were solitary creatures, preferring to hunt within their own ranges only coming together for one thing and at this point that was not on her mind....though that thought gave her pause as broke the silence and made the initial contact. "You look terrible." It was a statement of an observation and she let it stand, eager to measure this unknown male's response. It would be none other than the brief flicker of his jaguars 'fight or flight' response, which he had dedicated his life to ignoring.. for the most part. Something had made it's way into that coffee shop that was certainly of some interest though he was too confident to consider the possibility of it being something worse than what he'd already seen. What were the chances? Slim, if any (or so he thought). Therefore he'd ignore the growing unease in his gut all for the self-assured idea that he was the damnedest thing in the room. He didn't approve of his feline 'tendencies' but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of them. Quite honestly he was too tired to deal with other notions, finding himself blinking blearily down at the cup in his hands. Cowardice? There was the possibility of being perceived as so, especially with his current appearances. Leaning on the table ever so slightly, his fingers loosely gripping at his tie as he slowly tugged it away from his jugular. His grasp tightened on the smooth cloth in his hands, all the while lifting his gaze to rake across the room in hope for some distraction from his weary bones. And boy did he find it. At first glances he didn't notice anything in particular, however a second swoop of his unwavering gaze proved otherwise. A pair of amber eyes caught his line of vision and caused immediate pause. It almost appeared as if she willed it to be that way, returning his stare with a type he was all too familiar with. He would not allow her to hold the look for too long, rather lowering his blue eyes to drag themselves along the curves of her form, his inner cat stirring. Though normally quiet, this woman provoked some sort of response from it which in itself was enough to hold his interest. Once he finished taking in her appearances he found his lit eyes trail back to hers, where he held them steady. Tired or not the man could vividly see a certain curiosity within her, a question, a dangerous little game of sorts. And yes, he wanted to play. Whatever exhaustion had been playing at his features seemed to slide away with each passing second, maybe at the faint idea of a little 'hunt' or the adrenaline that had begun making it's way through his veins. The lingering woman, drawing ever closer, had a certain darkness to her..he could sense it. Even a man in denial about himself couldn't ignore something so obvious. Though he had a weakness for a well dressed woman, she wasn't going to disappoint in any manner. She was certainly a fine specimen, and lets face it, what kind of man didn't like a challenge? She'd reached his table now, the warmth of her stare against his skin causing his insides to stir, and not only because he soon came to the realization that she had. She was one of his own. His cool gaze flashed with recognition and he grew cautious now, even slightly so, having yet to encounter a fellow feline. Now he nearly regretted pushing down his instinct for so long, it left him nearly as a disadvantage but he refused to squirm under her steady eye. Playing with fire was an understatement when it came to this one, that much was clear, but at least he'd found his source of distraction. His hand unwound itself from his cup now, laying itself on the table as he sat back against his seat and focused on her fully. Her statement made him pause once more, though more out of shock if anything. It wasn't every day he stumbled across a woman with as much.. spunk. He became aware of a smirk that rose along the corner of his lips, immediately making his confidence known. "Mmmm, I suppose I do." He agreed in an easy purr, dragging a fatigued hand over his jawline. "Unfortunately I can't say the same for you." Again he found his eyes sweep her form before he lifted his coffee cup to his lips. Upon laying it down again the man cleared his throat. "Did you come over just to insult me, or would you care to sit down?"[/style][style=width: 390px; background-color: dddddd; padding-top: 3px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align; center; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 8px;letter-spacing: 2px; color: 272727;]created by ADE! [attr="class","petit"] [break] [attr="class","petitcontent"] [attr="class","petitcontentstyle"] [attr="class","petitfirstletter"]S he didn't hesitate to sit down with an amused smile touching her features. She watched the journey of his hands across his face. He had a charm about him that gave her pause to instantly mark this male jaguar as immediate prey. He could have other uses to him and she allowed her predatory eyes to perform a closer inspection of the specimen before her. Her close proximity brought about her remembrance as she placed his finely chiseled face. He was a lawyer, just as she was and pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. This was a game she could play to her advantage. She leaned forward slightly as she sipped her drink in a silent perusal of the man. " I can't say there won't be more insults, but the least I can do is to insult you by your proper name. I am Fadeyka Leysa, Attorney at Law and you are?" She pursed her lips and arched a perfectly arched eyebrow in question. [break][break]She'd seen him in her building once and she almost felt a silent rage that she hadn't identified him sooner. It wasn't like her to miss details as major as this - major being a male jaguar of her own kind. He could serve as a potential threat if she hadn't identified him, but she was beginning to get a feel for the man and it looked like he wouldn't mind copping a feel of his own as she felt his eyes caress and travel over her form. She knew what tools were at her finger tips and knew how to wield her arsenal of talents. His smirk lent him the air of confidence, but she wasn't one to leave waters untested. She boldly inhaled his scent her olfactory senses taking in every detail and nuance about him. She licked her lips again. He smelled divine and she was thinking of more than one way to eat this man alive. A surface relationship with this man might have dual purposes and could help her career wise as well as her sexual appetite and further down the line she relished the idea of hunting him down in her feline form. [break][break] She silently pondered what his cat looked like. Was he black like her? Or was his pelt as rich a yellow as bronzed gold. She felt her inner cat purr at the prospect of bringing this virile male down beneath her. She scented his awareness of her and she made no attempt to mask her own interest. She cocked her head in blatant curiosity. This was a situation she could control. She would allow herself to extend his life by not attacking him right now. She wasn't one for theatrics or for a human audience, besides there were useful qualities about him that could be tapped into first. She studied him and looked beyond his handsome features. He was a male through and through, but she sensed something off about him and she needed to get to the bottom of who he was if she was to use him to his fullest potential and she was never one to 'beat around the bush' per say. [break][break] "You smell of my kind. Tell me. Do you enjoy what you are?" Her yellow amber eyes lit up with the inner passion and fire that was her feline. She was at one with who and what she was and the initial man she had glimpsed before she piqued his interest was a man who had looked frayed. She didn't need to take on damaged goods. She waited for his response as she causally reclined in her chair and crossed her right leg over her left, the slit going high up on her thigh as she waited his answer with a cool calm and collected demeanor. Surely he was not the best of them out there but felt fairly certain that what he'd stumbled upon was far from the average female. His cool blue eyes followed the woman as she slid into the chair opposite him, his own smirk playing up across his lip. Immediately he found himself drawn to her form again if not from the obvious lust then taking an 'inventory' of sorts, dragging his eyes over her choice of clothing. Information was important especially around a bold thing like her, he resorted himself to retaining as much as he could from the sly little beast. Though he the most apparent trait had slipped his mind, the familiarity he felt towards her. His interest in the woman grew ever slightly as she shifted forwards, gaze lingering on her blouse before flicking upwards again. His crooked smirk rose as his head dipped in light acknowledgement of her introduction, apparently unfazed by the womans insistence at insulting him. A typical male beneath his cool demeanor, he was not only aware of the predatory stare he received but seemed to be fascinated by it. A kitten-like curiosity of sorts, without the blatant innocence, although not fully attuned to the 'animal' that lurked inside of him this would be one of the many traits that still lingered in his demeanor. Surely a lawyer such as she had many a trick up her sleeve and he had all intentions of finding out what those were. But that didn't mean he had any less reluctance to give out his name. He felt his fingers adjust themselves against the insulated cup in his hands, all the while keeping a steady, however somewhat wary eye on her. He'd have to tread carefully with that one, there wasn't much doubt about it, but chances were she was already well aware of how to figure him out. A chuckle rose from him. "That's not surprising in the slightest." He could admire a woman who was always two steps ahead, in fact it was quite thrilling. The amount of predictable women in the town was depressing to say the slightest. "Nicholas Parker, and I'm sure you've already figured out what it is you think I am. Feel free to call me what you'd like, but I'm most commonly referred to as 'Cole', or 'Nick'." He remained still under her observation although he felt his stunted feline unwind and bear it's fangs in warning. Given the most likely less-than-pleasant intentions behind those amber eyes a warning was necessary, but not wanted, therefore he would ignore it. He stifled the instinct, smoothing a metaphorical hand over the grumpy kitten and sending it back off to the confines of his mind. The opportunity at hand was far more alluring to the alternative, or worse, fleeing. By this point he sported a toothy and amused grin, a momentary flash of white, before shaking his head lightly. Living out of touch with an instinct was one thing, but he did have a fair bit of common sense which at the moment was screeching at him. "Why is it that I have the urge to watch what I say around you, Fadeyka?" Mocking her he leaned against the surface of the chair, icy eyes casting downwards as he slowly turned his cup. "Granted, you seem to be very good at what you do, I can appreciate a woman that knows what she's doing, but I'm not naive. Who's to say what you'd do with that sort of information?" His eyebrow rose now, expression falling for a brief moment while he sipped at his coffee (which, for the record, had grown rather bland). "But to answer your question, I'm just fine with who I am." Not a complete lie but not an entire truth either. "I guess the answers fairly obvious for you," The man paused, his attractive little smirk crawling it's way back in. "You don't strike me as the type to have any.. ah..self confidence issues."[/style][style=width: 390px; background-color: dddddd; padding-top: 3px; padding-bottom: 0px; text-align; center; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: arial narrow; font-size: 8px;letter-spacing: 2px; color: 272727;]created by ADE! [attr="class","petit"] [break] [attr="class","petitcontent"] [attr="class","petitcontentstyle"] [attr="class","petitfirstletter"]S he was attracted to this man. She wouldn't lie about it and it was another mark of favor in her books that they shared some common ground and he was intelligent. "Why is it that I have the urge to watch what I say around you, Fadeyka?" She smiled an all out grin at that. Yes, she could work with intelligence, but he didn't stop there and she felt her curiosity for the man only growing more and more as he continued, "Granted, you seem to be very good at what you do, I can appreciate a woman that knows what she's doing, but I'm not naive. Who's to say what you'd do with that sort of information?" Her smile morphed into a smirk to match his own as she brought her drink up to her lips, eyes twinkling with amusement and mirth. "But to answer your question, I'm just fine with who I am."... He stated, but she wasn't taking anything this man said at face value. He at least had a good measure on who she was, though she hadn't done much to mask her confidence - something she'd wanted him to pick up on. [break][break] If they were going to have interactions, then he needed to know where he would end up if he crossed her. She drew closer again, leaning forward at his blunt appraisal of her frankness. "Watching yourself around me is always an intelligent thing to do. You aren't the complete idiot I thought you to be Cole." She stated with a teasing grin, flirting unashamedly to draw him in. It had been some time since she'd been in the company of her kind and both her and her feline wanted to play and they called to the man and his inner beast. "Confidence has never been my problem and it never will be, but I can advise you of one little problem I do have..." She sipped her coffee still fresh and warm as she left the warm liquid caress and warm her insides, adding to her internal fire. "You see here Cole, I'm killing it at work, but my social calendar as of late has been... hmmm what's the word...lacking for entertainment." She pursed her lips in a pondering expression all the while her brain working towards her end goal. [break][break] "You wouldn't happen to be familiar with the town and outskirts of town as well would you? A girl could get lost in a big city like this..." She smiled coyly at the Cole. She didn't trust him and it appeared he had enough common sense not to fully trust her, but that would only make this game only more fun. Why shouldn't they enjoy one another's company? It had been such a long time since she'd met one of her kind and she knew how masculine, powerful and virile a male jaguar was, but she had a sneaky suspicion that his male before her had yet to step into his own. The challenge that it laid before her, to unleash the power of a male jaguar, if only to satisfy a sadistic sexual need, was too tempting to resist. "I could really use your help. Getting a layout of the land so to speak...but don't feel pressured, I wouldn't want to be a burden or a bother. I promise I'll make it worth your while." Her eyes held the promise of much more, her beast and human calling strongly to the male before her....So much potential and she wanted to grow it, nurture it and taste it's fruit. Her eyes held the promise of not just more, but to become more. Her feline purred at the thought of romping with the male and she made no attempt to mask the sound of pleasure as she studdied him through thickly lashed eyes. She was good, he'd give her that. The right amount of seduction and class, all the while retaining an ability to keep him cautious. He could almost applaud at the talent she truly possessed. That sort of package didn't come along too often but it sure was satisfying to see (easy women were so boring). Her outright grin only confirmed the idea that he needed to keep his wits about him, or even a bit more than wits. His return flash of teeth would indicate not only an appreciation, but a warning of his own as well. Exhausted and driven by a primal urge, maybe, but he was by no means a stranger to 'games'.. the mental sort, at least. His icy eyes caught sight of her forward shift, his eyebrow raising momentarily before he calmly pushed aside his cup to the side and mocked the movement, drawing ever closer, but keeping a good distance. "I'll take that as a compliment." His toothy grin increased, all the while watching those amber eyes carefully. "I'm smarter than you think." He held his position for several more seconds, allowing his open ended words to soak in an bit, before sending her a wink and returning to his original position. His forearms remained on the table however, reaching with one to retrieve his coffee again. The interest for the caffeine had faded, that was evident, but he still took a sip regardless. As her sly little voice met his ears the drink was set back down. It was only natural for his attention to return to her but his gaze took a detour; dragging from his cup over the tables surface, up to her chest, where they lingered briefly, before eventually meeting her stare again. Surely she wasn't expecting anything less, with her behavior? He watched her movements, especially so as her voice trailed off, watching the cup find it's way to her lips with an certain impatience. A feline in even speech, bouncing her words around like they were a mouse, was enough to start up a flame in him. Whether positive or negative he couldn't decide.. oh how he hated cats. Yet somehow he found himself in this rather.. beautiful opportunity, with no particular desire to pass it up. Perhaps the instinct within him had now settled to the idea that yes, twenty-five years of living apart from his other half was enough. Which was very reassuring considering what the shifter had in store. As the woman neared her point he felt a light stir in his pale irises, a pleased expression settling on his features. "Somehow I don't see a woman like you getting lost much of anywhere," Ulterior motives aside he could find enjoyment in another jaguar, even if he chose to deny it. A simple curiosity of sorts, an experiment (and she would make a lovely subject). But he by no means was going to forget the woman's own purposes (quite frankly getting killed was not on his agenda), rather keeping them at a distance, enough to keep him aware. A chuckle started up in him now, his head shaking lightly. Yes, this one was good. "But, it's hardly a burden." His hands lightly gripped his cup, debating on taking another drink, though ultimately deciding against in in order to keep an eye on her. His charming and almost sly grin took it's place once again. "At your service."

[attr="class","petit"] [break] [attr="class","petitcontent"] [attr="class","petitcontentstyle"] [attr="class","petitfirstletter"]H e was at her service and she rather liked that. She was pleased that he was no fool, that only upped the ante. She smirked and finished off her drink with a flourish. "Hmm. You're right. I don't get lost easily, but with you around I'm sure I'll feel more than safe." She let her tongue caress the word safe. He was anything but that with her. She caught his wandering eye and wasn't offended by it, if anything his appreciation for her form was encouraging to say the least. She had some kind of a hold on him and he had after all just effectively pledged his services to her, a commitment she was about to put into action right now. She stood up to her full height, pushed back the chair and gathered her purse. She saw the trash across the way and chucked her cup into the can with impressive accuracy. She had never boasted of being a lady all the time. She smirked and gathered her purse and crossed her arms looking down at him in expectation. [break][break] "Well there Cole, why don't we start making you useful...Mind being my escort for the rest of the day? I've got an itch to drive...and I would sure love the company and a tour guide." She licked her lips in anticipation as she let her own eyes rove over his fine form. All she needed to do was get him into her car and outside of the city limits so she could see what this man truly looked like. She had never been the type afraid to go 'Au-natural' and she was more than eager to get this man into a place where they could talk more plainly and walk around more...freely. [break][break] "I know I'm kind of putting you on the spot...and if you have other things to do, I insist on a rain check." She arched her perfectly formed eyebrow in a challenge. She was giving him a way out, granted she knew she'd never respect the meat sack if he backed out now. She was looking for a good romp in the woods and she actually had more of a mind to become his tour guide. She had a feeling she would be able to show him so much more than what he knew about himself. The lustier side of their feline natures had its benefits and she was a master of them all. She was rather looking forward to taking this specimen on. She would understand if her predatory nature scared him off, but she was really hoping that things could get a little rough...just the way she liked it. "You know I saw this park on the outskirts of town, with trails that wind down hidden paths... her words were seduction and she was calling... "We could maybe go exploring. After all I find it's very important to be intimately familiar with all of the surrounding landscape...don't you think so?"[break][break] [newclass=".petitheader"]background-image:url('http://oi62.tinypic.com/2a4u0as.jpg');width:520px;height:250px;background-position:right;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitfirstletter"]float:left;background-color:transparent;border:1px solid #324956; padding-top:10px;padding-bottom:10px;padding-left:15px;padding-right:15px;text-align:center;color:#324956;width:5px;font-family:'source sans pro';font-size:13px;margin-right:4px;[/newclass] [newclass=".petit"]width:420px;background-position:center;padding:50px;background-color:#f7f7f7;[/newclass] [newclass=".petittitle"]font-family:'quicksand';color:#fff;letter-spacing:2px;font-size:30px;text-align:center;text-transform:uppercase;padding-top:70px;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitsub"]font-family:'source sans pro';color:#fff;font-style:normal;font-size:12px;text-align:center;width:210px;padding:5px;border:1px solid #fff;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:2px;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitcontent"]width:360px;background-color:#fff;float:center;text-align:justify;margin-top:-120px;padding:30px;border-bottom:1px solid #324956;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitcontentstyle"]font-family:'roboto';font-size:11px;color:#222;height:300px;overflow:auto;padding:3px;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitcontentstyle::-webkit-scrollbar"]width:1px;[/newclass][newclass=".petitcontentstyle::-webkit-scrollbar-track"]background-color:#eee;[/newclass][newclass=".petitcontentstyle::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb"]background-color:#324956;[/newclass] [newclass=".petitnotes"]font-family:'quicksand';letter-spacing:1px;color:#324956;font-size:11px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass]
