Essential Information
Appearance: Emrys stands at a 6"0, supported by strong legs and a muscled torso. He has quite beefy arms, muscular and strong from using working out as a way to 'escape' his problems briefly. He has a six-pack lined along his stomach, hardened and well-toned. His face is quite well chiseled, with peach fuzz lining along above of his top lip. Facial features aside, he has bright blue eyes and flipped brown hair with darker highlights running along the side and onto the top. The skin on his hands are calloused and strained, scarred from cutting and going to the barn.
Personality: Emrys is far from the "first glance impression" sort. He is in no way happy, never was and never will be. As long as the memories haunt him, he will not be as happy as he once was. He is.. very mentally, well, depressing. He believes himself as weak, portrayed as something not worthy of any attention or friendship. He's quite afraid of himself to be honest, afraid he'll never be good enough to protect anybody. He's never been rejected by society but he sure as hell refuses to believe that he's anything worth more than a pile of useless flesh and bones.
Although depressing, Emrys is a Momma's boy at heart. He loves to talk to his mother and about her life, especially keeping in touch with her. Mostly because he's concerned for the poor woman after experiencing such a hard and struggling life, he wants to help her to the best of his 'weak' abilities. Sometimes he'll be extremely paranoid and will sometimes even call his mother in the middle of the night to check up on her.
Although depressed about his so called 'weak physical state', Emrys is athletic. He loves to work out as he's mostly an adrenaline junkie and feeds off of it to allow himself to finish things such as house chores or getting his job done right or feeding the horses, etc. He loves to be energetic and will often lift weights or drink coffee just to get it. And through this feeding off of adrenaline he loves to race, the freedom a beautiful horse can bring surprises him.
Although Emrys has an interesting personality, on the outside he's very serious. He literally in no way has a sense of humor and often gets confused by jokes or teasing. He's very dense and takes everything literally. He doesn't quite understand what it means to be in love as you can't really be inside an emotion (or that's what he thinks).
History: Emrys was born to a somewhat (seemingly) single mom. He never knew his real father and has only ever known fear and pain. From a young age he was... well relatively scholarly smart but socially? He was very awkward and couldn't speak very well. It was hard learning how to speak something he's never known. He got heavily teased and bullied for it, as he had grasped the basics of English later than the other kids had. He was called 'stupid' because he wasn't too fond of speaking to others and would rather stick to himself.
At age 2, he had begun to actually have an interest for languages as communicating with others became more of a priority. He learned more and more words, widening and broadening his vocabulary immensely. He blocked out the kids who bullied him, mostly spending his time with them glaring at them and telling teachers about them so they would stop. And they did, eventually after some time of repeated complaints. He was a curious kid, he liked to learn and to write, he liked experimenting with things, and simply just gathering new information. The world around him fascinated him greatly, he liked learning how things were meant to be, where things came from, and math especially made him happy. He had a certain feeling of manual efficiency from changing numbers and dividing them, things such as changing fractions and what they meant.
At age 3 was really bad. While he doesn't remember everything he does know that his mother disappeared for a certain period of time, where he had sat in her bed for hours upon hours, waiting she would walk into the room and hug him just as she always did. But when she did not return, he panicked and went into a state of depression, anxiety, and well overall he was breaking down mentally. The protection and love he once knew was gone and he needed to get it back. When his Mom did come back home, he was frightened for her. He wanted to know where she was but simply didn't understand.
