Essential Information
Appearance: Ripley stands at approximately 5'1" tall, and she's of an average/petite build. Her skin is pale with rosy undertones, a heart-shaped face, and slightly defined cheekbones. Her brows are more straight than arched, but are softly defined. Ripley's eyes are hazel, and upon first glance, it's difficult to tell whether her eyes are brown or green. Her teeth are straight, with a slight gap between her top front teeth. Her canines are also slightly elongated, though not enough to make too much of a difference.
Ripley's hair reaches just past her shoulders, parted with the bangs falling towards her right eye, but never covering it. Her hair is a soft, warm-toned brown, with the front bleached to platinum blonde.
Ripley tends to wear a lot of black, though it's only because that's all she really has. Ripley loves flannels and plaids, as well as skirts and dresses, but rarely has an opportunity for the latter two. She's typically seen in jeans and a black or red flannel button-up over top of a random t-shirt or tank. Ripley is constantly seen with boots of some sort, and a coyote tooth necklace around her neck. Her ears are pierced, but she only keeps one curved, brass earring in her left ear.
Personality: Kind, sarcastic, and ambitious. Those are the best words to describe her. Ripley can be one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, but only if she doesn't know you very well. Once she gets to know you, she'll immediately begin being very sarcastic with you. Ripley tends to be the source of laughter from her friends, intentional or not.
Ripley was always very studious, despite having some bad grades in her schooling. When it comes to horses, however, she is very passionate with everything she learns. She tries to be a good student, striving to work her way to a show rider for her stable.
Ripley loves to be around horses, though can be a bit introverted at times. She never goes to big parties, never gets into drugs or any of the like. Some may consider her a prude, but she just has no interest in it. Ripley tends to dislike the arrogant, and she also isn't very fond of children. Situations with too much excitement or energy typically drive her away, but only because it drains her energy and stresses her out.
History: Growing up just outside of Nashville, Ripley was raised by a somewhat odd couple. A southern-bred mother and a northern-raised father, Ripley grew up with a wide cultural understanding of the two dynamics. Her childhood was good, with no real issues. She was bullied here and there, but with no major incidents.
Around the age of four, Ripley discovered her love for horses. She was taken many times to see horses, but she never owned any. As she grew older, Ripley found herself learning more about them, spending more time with them at the local boarding stables, scoring a summer job as a stablehand. There, she took care of many Tennessee Walking Horses, becoming impressed with their grace and trademark gaits.
After graduating school, Ripley learned of the many opportunities in LA. Nashville was a great place, but it wasn't what she wanted in life. Ripley wanted to work with horses, and learn to be a professional rider someday. The stables around Nashville were too casual for her, not focused enough on their showing. Saying goodbye to her parents, Ripley packed her things and moved to LA, taking a spot as a student at the Lazy Z Ranch, where she will be learning to ride and care for horses in the way she feels is right.
