[attr="class","mycontainer"]Everything might of been a dream. That this all just might be apart of some big plan, that God had actually made her for good reason. That she was going to succeed in life and she was going to be the happiest person alive... but that's not how she saw it. But then again, what did she know? Pretty much nothing. She was a 4 year old, she didn't know of depression or death, of the harm the real world could do to her if she ever once put her guards down. She wasn't being taught like that. She knew she had to be strong, but she was just a little kid. She didn't have to be strong. She didn't have to be a warrior or a princess, she was just... her. There was nobody else like her and she knew it. She might of not been aware that her father was dead or that the person she thought was her dad wasn't, all she knew was that she loved everybody. She loved the world, she loved the outdoors, the sunshine, the butterflies, the city, she loved it all. This was her home. This is where her heart resided and where her life started. There was nothing else except where she was right now. Maybe she'd never understand how one could hate such a beautiful world like this, or maybe she'd never get about how the world was so cruel behind its beautiful mask. But what mattered was the present, where time stood still and where the grass was green and the sky was clear. This was her life. And she would control it to the best of her abilities and make herself happy, for sadness was only wasting time thinking about the past when she could spend it planning the future.
The little girl had wandered out of the house unsupervised. She didn't know exactly where she was going except that she wanted to go somewhere and that any road would take her there. Perhaps she didn't need directions for she walked on. Her bright blue eyes stared ahead as she kept walking, she waddled along the road before hopping over to the sidewalk and kept going. She ventured through the city, onwards to somewhere. Any place. She didn't know what she was going to do when she got to her unknown destination, but an adventure was worth the unknowing. If only she knew of the dangers that lurked in the shadows. Of how her father had died wandering to no where in particular, but he only did so just to escape his home. But, it's all apart of the learning process adults say. The woods loomed in her vision, the towering trees touching the blue sky that had white clouds spreading across its bright expanse. She stopped for a moment to look up, listening to the sounds of the bird's songs and the insects buzzing their call as the heat settled in.
The child walked through the trees, her small figure going through the landscape with relative ease. "I wonder what i'll be when I grow up... what if I become a Vet, like Mom? I guess I could... I do like animals! I'd get to see puppies and kitties, or big dogs like Dad! Or maybe I could become a drawer... that'd be nice. To get paid to sit at home and draw! I bet i'd be good at that!" The thoughts ran through her mind, scrambled and endless as they always were when she had nothing else to do except continue going on. She skipped over to what looked like a patch of flowers and quietly picked some up, staring at them for a little while before turning back the direction she came from and skipped back through the underbrush and vegetation. "Twinkle, twinkle little star!" She sang with a smile lighting her face. Her hands swung at their side and before she knew it, she was back in the city once more. She looked around, but began to notice that this was not a familiar part of town. She tilted her head to the side before she kept on walking, marching on as she always did. Where was she? How far away from home was she? Man, how was she going to get these flowers to dad now? A taller structure of a figure bumped into her small own, making her shuffle backwards cautiously. Wide eyes looked up to glance at the unfamiliar face. "Who are you?" She squeaked out, nose scrunching up slightly.
