Appearance: Elena sports the trademark Petrov elegance and beauty that, in all honesty, is enough to have it's own warning sign. Dark hair and doe eyes are not uncommon in this family and she uses hers to her advantage when the opportunity strikes. Probably due to this prominent feature she has an almost youthful glow, often appearing several years below her age. When it comes to facial structure she is similar to that of her cousin Dallas, complexion, build, and eyes; although her brown irises are of the lighter shade and her slightly wide set nostrils resemble more closely of her mothers. She stands at a modest 5'5" and is of a lithe build with legs making the majority of her height. Perhaps she should have been a dancer in a former life, given her natural grace and presence, however it seems her career has taken up the majority of her time. She is a woman not untouched by her family's reputation. Similarly to her relatives Elena is far removed from emotions, morals or a conscience. They are weaknesses she cannot afford to partake in especially given her ambitious nature, she believes them to hold her back. Her career and business are forefront on her mind, much like a mother to a child she spends the majority of her time nurturing the mysterious establishment.
Elena is, by many accounts, distant, although she's especially talented at mimicking futile human traits and has become nearly adept at it. The majority of the time she even appears charismatic. She is knowledgeable in the workings of the human brain (seems to run in the family) and often uses this to get her way, no matter the consequences. She is always one to tell things like they are, given that she does have a short fuse for stupidity, but she's also skilled in holding her tongue for situations in her career. She is domineering and possessive by nature and also somewhat OCD.
However distant she may seem she is not completely stranded from empathy; she values the human life and is merciful in most altercations. Granted, often times her impulsive and impatient nature gets the better of her. She would much prefer alternative punishments to outright murder, or better yet, have someone to do the work for her. She has a bit of a weak stomach in that regard, or perhaps just an ounce of sympathy. In the chance that she does snap in her times of annoyance she will have her guilt, however slight. Her father, Hristo Petrov was the owner of a string of successful factories in which he became quite wealthy from. Aside of course, from the fact that his parents were already established and passed plenty of their earnings onto him and his two brothers, Damyan and Gavril. Elena wanted for nothing in most cases, she grew up in the pampered lifestyle alongside her sister Daniela. Any wrong done to them was surely righted by her doting father, most were intimidated by the dragon and eventually learned to keep their hands away from the mans little princesses.
Although nothing was as it seemed, especially with this family. The man was an esteemed business man yet had a string of abusive affairs with the nannies and maids, to which Elena was bribed to keep quiet about. She was of a young age, five years at the most and was shackled to the burden that was the secret. During the times of these rather unorthodox encounters she and Daniela were sent to play with her beloved cousins, Dallas and Tyler.
They probably would not remember the memories the four of them shared, they were hardly three years old at the time, but she thought of the two as siblings and cared for them dearly. They enjoyed each others company and aside from her fathers often dark business practices she had a relatively normal lifestyle up until the age of seven. At that point Damyan, Dallas and Tylers father, had made several wrong decisions in his own business and was consequently falling close to bankruptcy. His pride would not allow such so instead began siphoning money from his own father, Elena's grandfather. Upon discovering it the family went into a big upheaval, lines were drawn and Elena was caught in the crossfire of her family's internal war. Naturally her own father chose the side of her grandfather. Her uncle, to get back at Hristo for such betrayal, slept with her damaged mother.
Naturally offense was taken to the action despite Hristo's disloyalty. In return the man tampered with the brakes of the twins' family car for none other than the ultimate purpose of disposal. After Damyan and his wife's inevitable demise Hristo wrongly informed his daughters of their cousins death. He turned his back on his brothers children in their time of need, punishing them for his brothers wrongdoing. Elena was devastated by the news of her family's death but was comforted by her deceitful father and he quickly drew her attention to other things, such as horses.
She was never a big fan of the manual labor or the dirt but that's what grooms were for, right? She received her first pony at the age of nine, a 14.2hh Dales pony gelding that she, much to her fathers dismay named Ty after her cousin's 'death'. She took her pony everywhere and by thirteen had quickly risen in the local show circuit to become the regional champion, to which her father sold the pony for a healthy profit. She was devastated but a friesian soon took his place and she never looked back. She, with the help of he trainer, converted herself to a dressage rider and began competing for her personal best. It is here where she grew her ambition.
It was not a shock that the teen quickly learned the allure to having money and began working her hardest to see that her life would include it. In school she studied hard, or perhaps her teachers were just intimidated by her family name and bribed to pass her along with extraordinary marks. Nonetheless she was a bright child and when not studying she took up several sports, volleyball, soccer and track being the main ones. But with her beauty came the inevitable suitors. She gladly obliged to the relationships she faced but was in many ways juvenile when it came to them, she was not fully understanding of the concept of love. Although she was never really allowed to embrace it. Her father was very much protective over her, any and every male that crossed her was promptly disposed of.
She was sent to college for a business degree even though she didn't really need it, considering she could have easily taken over her fathers business.
