Essential Information
Appearance: On terms of her human appearance, the feminine could easily be described as being rather cute, sporting undefined cheekbones, thick eyelashes, plump lips, and a fairly squared jaw. Thick blonde locks frame her youthful facials, falling freely down to her chest, such being in stark contrast to her darkly toned irises, almond-like in shape, lined by eyebrows darker than her hair colour. When it comes to the shape of her body, she's rather petite, dainty, standing only at 5'4, and a good majority of that consists of her long legs, waist and hips alike rather small, creating a pillar-like shape to her frame. Her clothing style... Well, she honestly doesn't wield one, aside from the fact that vibrant colours and much preferred.
Shifter Appearance: Overall, the feminine takes on quite the odd form, as predicted through the notion of being a hybrid; her form generally takes on more canid qualities than it does avian, though feathers are evident adorning her frame, and forming tail feathers. It is incredibly difficult to decipher the colouration of her standard plumage, given the fact that she constantly endeavours to cloak her feathers in iridescent dyes, natural made concoctions of which she prepares herself, often taking on inspiration from natural avian's plumage. However, beneath such fake colourations, her feathers take on the tone of a rich mocha, alongside various shades of ashen beige, faded black, white, and even faint shades of amber, all fairly complementary alongside one another, almost a delicate blend. Despite her wings being oddly short in comparison with the remainder of her body (the hybrid standing roughly at elbow-height on a fully grown man - size reference here), they allow a short glide. Within her preferred animalistic form, dark almond eyes are replaced with an odd mixture of tones, a distinctively peculiar shade; pupil lined by faint green, rimmed with black, the remainder of the iris being a stark yellow flecked with grey (full body reference here).
Personality: Such is where the vast majority of her oddity lies, her extremely bizarre nature being one of her most overbearing traits, the combination of traits often considered odd through the eyes of those around her, zany by all aspects. In being benevolent, cordial and amiable, her general portrayal lies around being allocentric, tolerant and considerate, certainly selfless by all means, placing the needs, moods and motives of those around her above her own. That being said, such is often overlooked due to her extremely forward, inquisitive, effervescent behaviour. Her dynamic, positive energy can often be overwhelming, if only due to the fact that she lacks any insight into the prospect of personal space, lacking any restraint of her own curiosity. Magnanimous, painstaking and perceptive, her scrupulous nature make her extremely tentative to the slightest detail, which in a sense causes her to be pedantic, worrying over the thoughts, feelings, and gestures of others far more than she should. Adventurous, innovative and creative, she appears to be much more childish than anything, otherwise naïve to the general cruelty of the world around her and far too clumsy (lacking any real elegance) for her own good. Ebullient, cheerful, and seemingly never lacking in energy, her generally untouched innocence can cause her to be gullible, believing most things people around her tell her (that is, if she can understand). She even has a brooding obsession with humanity's music, absolutely adoring the varying pitches and tempos of the beats, alongside the often shrill lyrics that accompany them. She loves the idea of the unexplored, of travel, of seeing new sights, new places, new things, and especially new people. However, aside from all that, a major hindrance comes from the fact that she can barely speak a word of human tongue, be it English, Spanish, German, or anything else aside from a good chunk of latin, the origins of such knowledge lying within her history, nor can she read or write, vastly due to the fact that her human counterpart went undiscovered until only a short time ago. That being said, she can occasional grasp the context of speech through the emotions portrayed by the speaker. Such has proven to be a major difficulty to overcome, and definitely can get in the way of actually becoming something in this quaint city, apparently so full of opportunity.
History: Two shifters, unknowing of each other's abilities and sworn to silence for the fear of unveiling the world of alternate species to mankind, came together in a strange twist of fate, for better or for worse at the time. Despite the fact that their demeanours contrasted sharply, likely due to their animalistic counterparts (her mother, a wolf, much more confident, though fairly snappy and easy to agitate, and her father a bird, timid and flighty), they slowly fell for one another, forming a relationship based upon a tedious, intricate series of lies on both ends of the spectrum. As such, it eventually resulted in the birth of Naujicca, of whom arrived unexpected during one of the rare moments her father was away and her mother was able to embrace the inner canid. Thus, the petite feminine was born in as some form of freakish hybrid between wolf and bird, viewed as a monstrosity from the very moment her parents laid eyes upon her; the first mutual opinion between her parents in many months. Disgusted, and thrown into broken trust barriers and broken hearts alike, the pair promptly split up, and none wanting to claim ownership of the mangled mess of feathers and fur, the hybrid was given only the privilege of a name, and identity, before being abandoned in the woods with the expectation of death.
And well, that very much would have been the case, if it hadn't been for a gnarled old griffin shifter, going by the name of Chairavali. Despite the youngster's extremely odd, unnatural appearance, the griffin focused purely upon the necessary care. Just as one would expect from any canid's offspring, the hybrid's eyes would not open for a good two weeks following their initial encounter, though throughout such a period of time, there wasn't one instance in which hope, the griffin's faith in the young one, died. However, to this day the feminine barely maintains a thought or memory regarding the aged shifter, not only due to the fact that she was extremely young then, but also due to the fact that the instant the hybrid could walk without assistance, and was considered for for survival, Chairavali reluctantly left her, relenquishing her watch of the hybrid.
At such a point, the feminine was forced to mimic the behaviour of creatures around her in the name of survial, all traces of rational thinking safely disposed into a dependency on instinct. In spite of her lack of strength and her generally scrawny nature, several improvisions ensured her survival; she quickly learnt to scale the bark and branches of trees, or to burrow into the hollows of woodland creatures, in avoidance of larger predators. She feasted on stray scraps abandoned by the very creatures she leant to hide from, and though the vat majority was tough and tasteless, she promptly grew accustomed to it. She survived in such a manner until sh finally grew large and stable enough to catch her own prey, turning to smaller mammals, embracing her steadily heightening senses. Though she's never honestly desired to kill, nor did she enjoy bringing an end to the lives of innocent creatures, it was necessary at the time.
Her first introduction to the world of mankind came in the form of Roiss, a man only a good few years older than herself, the feminine being fifteen at the time. He could be considered handsome through the eyes of any woman, of course, exept Nauji; she had no standards of humans, considering the fact that she'd barely laid eyes upon one before, nevermind up close. She was intrigued by the tone of his flesh, the strange fur atop his head, the material that clothes his frame, and more inportantly, the man behind those eyes. As it were, the male also took a shine to her perpetually curious nature and odd habits. It promtly turned out that the man was also a shifter, a burly beast of a canid, and though the barricade of Nauji's failure to understand English became an obstacle constantly needing to be overcome, there line shifter instead sought to teach her fragments of latin, if inly down to the fact that it would enable them to communicate without the prying ears of others; she caught on promptly, developing a basic vocabulary within the underused language. He withheld his growing affections he harboured for her, which, despite his silenced protest, bloomed into a strange sense of love for the feminine. One could only leave it to Nauji not to understand his affection for her, what emotions he was experiencing, nor could she decipher his romantic advances. Her initial experiences with shifting were also sourced from the man, though she failed to sense his ulterior motive, this proclaimed love brooding in his chest, his interest in their shared ability. After a long explanation, of which she paid tentative attention to, and several moments watching him perform the strange transformation, she finally managed it, and in being inexperienced, revealed her human form, naked before the man's eyes. Something changed in his demeanor, something awakened, a strange like appeared in his eyes, and suddenly, he was upon her. Despite her cries and protests, her innocence was demolished at such a point, however unwilling it was.
For obvious reasons, she regained her animalistic form as soon as possible, refusing to allow the man anywhere near her, revealing true aggression for the first time, ignoring any form if despondency or anger alike that he revealed. At first, it seemed no amount of hissing and spitting would deter him from trailing after her, though eventually, he tapered off, and she's not laid her eyes upon him once since, her usually flamboyant personality dulled by the crushing experience, trust invested in the man demolished. Her heart was broken long before she even knew the meaning of the statement. The feminine got on with her isolated life, refusing to shift until he had long since left her mind, and the horrifyingly real warmth of his skin against her own was lost to the darkest recesses of her mind. Her curiosity, of course, ultimately prevailed, reluctantly beginning to explore the possibilities presented by her abilities, occasionally taking to venturing within her human form. She grew intrigued by the fleshy faces of mankind admired from afar, desperately longing to walk alongside them, to explore the concrete towers yet constructed, their strange array of emotions and relationships...
Ah, but all good things come to those who wait.
