it's the way she doesn't try
PERSONALITY i. phebe is a rather quirky girl. her personality tends to be a little all over the place. you can expect her to do one thing, then she will turn around and do something completely different. but, don't get this wrong, she is unique and full of surprises, to say the very least. ii. phebe tends to have a never ending flow of energy. she is always on the go, go, go! to sum this up a little bit better, she is both excitable, as well as energetic. she can be a little overwhelming with this, coming off as overwhelming to the others around her, though she tries her best to maintain her personality around the more introvert people. iii. everyone has a little bit of sarcasm in them, but phebe has a lot. she has a very sarcastic response to pretty much everything. it all really seems to fit where you are in her hierarchy mentally. if you are her friend, her insults are just jokes and meant to liven up the conversation. where as if you are not, it can seem extremely rude and inappropriate. phebe can also be categorized as a spit-fire. this basically means that she has a sharp tongue and what she is about to say is unpredictable. she can throw a joke back in your face, or flat out scream and leave your face all red and a hand print on your cheek. iv. to those that she considers friends, lovers, or family, she will be loyal to them for the rest of her life unless she proves them unworthy by a break in the loyalty of theirs. she tends to hold on tight to her relationships, which makes it very hard for her to let go of significant others. while she can be open and willing to get into a relationship, she gets more than a little anxious about how they will handle her personality and if they can take her energy. | LIKES - dogs - horses - men - races through the woods - cuddling and other simple affections DISLIKES - arrogance in others - disloyalty - violence of any kind - sitting around - drama/gossip | APPEARANCE

it's the wink before the slight
HISTORY
i. childhood
to keep things pretty simple here, phebe had a wonderful little family. it consisted of her mother and father and a five year old brother. to be completely honest, there was nothing very special about the little family. they lived in a small house, had a couple of pets - that is if you consider fish and gerbils true pets - and grew up in a white-picket fence neighborhood. up the age of three, she was a normal toddler, not doing much out of the ordinary. she learned to walk, communicate with her family, and do everything a social, healthy little girl should. things got a little strange when phebe was going on seven years and the family brought home a border collie puppy. the dog had meant to be for her brother, tanner, but instantly bonded with phebe. while tanner would try and intervene the dogs attention, it would always end up back with phebe. things went simple a bit again, she spent her time with the dog, school, and the constant arguing with her brother that siblings usually had. her first shift came when she was nine. she had been sitting in her room with the dog named, jake. her mother became concerned when she walked in and found the two just staring at one another. suddenly, phebe would giggle and the dog would whine and pant, like they were communicating. a little later in the year, the mother walked in to find not one, but two collies in the room, identical except for jakes blue eyes versus phebes green. she was shocked and scared at first, as tanner had not taken the shifter gene, which their father had. he would continue to teach her the ways of a shifter, helping her grow in experience as she did in the real world.
ii. teenage years
teenager years are the true test of a persons ability to take control of their lives and grow up. they leave behind the reliability of their parents and step into a world of independence. middle school and social relationships were not a problem for young phebe. she had the energy of a young race-horse and was always looking for ways that she could keep herself in tune with what was going on. she fell in love in her second year of high school - sophomore year - which was her first test in that kind of situation. the boy was sweet, a junior at the time, and seemed to adore phebe. the two were glued at the hip through that year, and even spent the summer together. but, young love didn't seem to last these days, and the two broke apart - as did phebe's heart - when she caught the sight of him getting "down and dirty" with one of the popular girls in the locker room. even at such a young age, loyalty played a key part in earning phebe's trust, and this would be the first of a few relationships where she would be tested on how long she could be loyal to someone who was unfaithful to her. up until her eighteenth year, she fought to try and tie down her emotions, be less stuck up in her good-girl ways, and focus more on having fun. but, she just couldn't bring herself to do it. too often she saw young girls who were pregnant or self-harming themselves and just couldn't bring herself to focus on such things that didn't matter. by the time she finished her senior year, she would be free of them, and most likely would never see them again.
iii. being an adult and handling responsibilities
phebe moved out of her parents home just about as soon as she turned eighteen. her first hits with apartments failed and she was in and out of the home until she was twenty. then, she tied down a strong job with a horse trainer and began to exercise his horses. it wasn't much pay, but it was something, and she loved the animals. she spent most of her time at the barn. if she wasn't riding, she was mucking stalls, feeding, or spending time with the large animals. when she turned twenty-one, she bought her first horse. a beautiful, dappled-grey gelding by the name of flint. he was nothing compared to the flashy racehorses, but he had more stamina than all of them put together. she boarded him at the barn she worked at. when she was done with her rides for the day and the stalls were all clean, she would spend the rest of the daylight working with the two-year old colt, getting him trained to become a show jumper. his tall stance, breaking 17hh on the dot, he was tall for an appendix. he jumped the oxers with ease and even seemed to get into it. his competitive nature grew, and soon the pair had plenty of blue ribbons to show off at the stable. he might not have been a racehorse, but he sure turned heads at the barn. her life was simple. she rode horses in the early mornings, fed and did stalls in the afternoons, and spent the rest of her day exploring, maybe out for a run in the woods in her alternate form, and then some training with her own horse. life couldn't have turned out any better for a quirky, young woman.
