❝ blood brothers ❞ He had nowhere to go, no family to greet, to confide in, to talk about the good times. He was out here on his own, whatever friendship he had formed with Archaic was probably good as gone, at least to the extent of his knowledge. After what he had done? Who could blame him though, honestly?
"Ah damn."
Cody grumbled to himself as he walked in silence alongside the concrete sidewalk, caring not for the rapidly approaching arrival of dusk. The setting sun cast a brilliant orange hue across the sky, and it was then that the street lights flickered on, illuminating the street. Where should he go? Perhaps he should visit his grave, but would that really be just? Wouldn't that be disrespectful? Then again, he couldn't remember the last time he had listened to something someone had told him. He always did the opposite of what someone told him, usually.
Perhaps he should leave the city, and actually stay gone this time. He had come dragging his ass back to Los Angeles for the fact that for fleeting moments he would think of Archaic, and wonder if he harbored a burning hatred for him. Did Archaic know what it felt like to feel completely and utterly alone? Well, of course he did, his only friendship was gone, or so he had thought. Cody had no idea what kind of relationships the man shared, nor did he care. But in all honesty? He was jealous of anyone that might partake in that man's time. I don't roll that way, fuck. He thought to himself, expressing a frown, his brows creasing.
It was then that he noticed a figure moving along the street, quite unsure in her gait. It was a she right? The dirty blond tilted his head slightly and it was then that he was certain that it was a woman, quite fragile looking at that. His hazel eyes continued to watch the woman as she progressed across the street, before she came to lean against a street light. She looked exhausted, or something. It was none of his business, and the last time he intefered with someone else's problem, it became a problem for him as well.
Blowing out a sigh he shoved his hands in his pockets and approached the blond haired woman, it was then that he noticed her features illuminated by the street lamp. She looked like she could be tilted as beautiful, (when didn't he think a woman was beautiful though?) although he knew better than hit on women, every single time he had tried, he couldn't figure out left from right in the bedroom. Let's face it, Cody Miller was terrible in bed, just completely horrible. Perhaps that's why he had little to no dignity, and practically a nonexistant ego.
Upon further inspection, he noticed just how tired the woman's eyes looked. Shifting his gaze he noticed the hospital band strapped to her wrist. Nowadays, people couldn't exactly escape from a hospital per say or an asylum, so she had to have been released from a hospital just recently, that much was obvious. "Uh..are you okay?" He asked quietly, not certain as to what he was supposed to say.
The woman, Sienna, looked towards the man with an expectant glance, stepping forward until she practically leaned forward a bit too far, which prompted the man to take hold of the woman's small shoulders. "You drunk or something?" Silence. The woman simply remained there, rather awkwardly.
It was then that she shouted at him, beating her hands against his chest in some kind of terrified rage. "Get away, Dallas!" She shouted as she fell back on her rear, quickly scooting back until her back was against the street lamp. Cody almost cursed at the woman in surprise, "Shit, don't shout at me like that. And who's Dallas? Calm down..." He attempted to speak soothing words, but that wasn't exactly his usual thing.
The blond haired woman trembled before him, wrapping her arms around her legs and pulling them close. Had the hospital really let her go that easily? "Are you insane or something? Am I supposed to call the police...ooor?" He trailed off, but the way she acted was so strange. It was as though she had been abused by someone... Who was this Dallas?
There were a million questions he could have asked, but he knew he wasn't going to get anything out of the mess of a girl. He decided to at least try and get her to a safer location. As he stepped forward and placed his hands on the woman's shoulders yet again, she screamed out on fear, startling even Cody. A snarl of annoyance came from the man as he stepped back in a hurry, "Will you quit that?" He stated quickly, looking around hesitantly, the woman had him acting nervous and it only made him look all the more suspicious.

A LIFELESS FACE THAT YOU'LL SOON FORGET ❝ His walks at dusk were among the few pleasures he received from life, besides the usual consumption of alcohol... which he often liked to partake in. There was not much more to his life than just that, work, home, walks, and the touch of whiskey to finish off the night. But this was the way he’d learned to cope. Some might even say he liked it this way; it was simple, uncomplicated, quiet, and with the chance to reflect on his day… there were many people who cherished that notion. But for him, reflecting had never been one of his favorite things to do. He strolled leisurely with hands shoved in his pants pockets; in one a leash, in the adjacent, an empty fist. The light was fading quickly but luckily for him the canine at the end of the leash seemed to know exactly where he was going. He didn’t have much of a problem losing himself in the maze that was his neighborhood, not with the massive Great Dane by his side. The man glanced down at the dog that accompanied him and reached down to pat him lightly before straightening again, but his gaze never seemed to venture much higher than the sidewalk. However quiet, it was also that time of night. That time when the families reached home from their daily obligations and joined one another at their family dinner; when their lights and silhouettes illuminated the windows, the ones always closest to the street where he walked, of course. For many it was a special time. As for him, he couldn’t stand to witness it, and much preferred to stare at the ground. Behind his shining hazel eyes laid something darker – envy. He found his anxious mind traveling back to the what-ifs. He could have been there. He had been so close to having those moments. Why couldn’t he just have what he once did? If only…he’d been able to do something. Everything reminded him of them, whether it be the distant neighbor’s child, the golden curls of some stranger on the street, or the tired eyes of one anxiety ridden blonde. His gaze swept across the landscaping, the darkening horizon, but before it could return to the ground he found it pausing at a scene not too far off. Illuminated by the yellowed light of the streetlamp was a familiar form, one that grew more so as he drew closer. The man’s eyes narrowed against the dim light before widening in shock. What was she doing out of the hospital? He quickly took in the scene, but what was of more importance to him at that moment was the man standing over her huddled form. “Si?” He hurried to them, only one thing on his mind and that was the adrenaline pumping through his veins, prompted only from the thought of this stranger hurting this damaged woman. He paused not too far off – feet at the most, gaze shifting between the two before settling on the male. “Is there a problem here, bud?” Anger flashed briefly on his features as he faced off with the more eminent threat to her health. “Do you get off on bothering defenseless women?” The words slipped before he had a chance to stop himself, although he wasn’t really sure he wanted to at this moment. The pure thought of someone else laying a hand on her made his blood boil. “I swear to god, if you thought you could take advantage of her....” He took a stride forward and dropped his dogs leash in the process; he had better things on his mind at this moment than to worry about. “Look, she’s had enough shit. I don’t even know how she’s out….” A whine broke his train of thought and he glanced back, only to see his Great Dane by Sienna’s side, sniffing at the lone woman’s knee curiously. ❝ blood brothers ❞ Okay, clearly this woman was batshit insane, or something. He should have minded his own business like he normally did (total lie), but no he had to be nosy and check out the scene. Just when he was still debating on whether to call 911 or completely bail, he heard a masculine voice from behind, and the smell of a dog as well caught his attention.
He found himself sweating even though the night was cold as he heard the man's aggressive tone. "Hey, hey now. I don't have a problem with anyone.." He spoke, not wanting any sort of trouble. He had already fucked up big time with someone, he did not need to end up doing something that he would regret and have haunting him to the day he finally croaked and went six feet under.
Hazel eyes went to the trembling, sobbing mess of a woman. "Come on, I wasn't bothering her. She just..walked up and just ended up like that." He stated hastily, not wanting to start an argument with this man. Hopefully, he had enough sense to realize he was telling the truth. Cody instantly felt as though he was being rubbed the wrong way at the man's next statement, "Yeah, not happening. Dude, no way in hell I'd try to get with someone who acts like they're completely insane. She seems so unstable, I didn't know what to do." He chose wisely in leaving out the fact he was tempted to leave her right where she was, without batting an eye.
But Cody knew that wasn't him, he tried to help people, occasionally. Okay, usually when it was in his best interest. His head tilted to the side for a brief moment, at the man's mutter to himself. "I don't know her so, I'd assume you do?" He responded quietly as he looked to the woman who trembling even at the breath from the dog's nostrils that sniffed her knee.
It was then the woman looked up, seemingly recognizing the stranger's face, and a faint wave of recognition, relief even washed over her face. "L-l-lochlan." She stammered quietly as she pulled herself to her feet and approached the man, the only person around for a good while that she was familiar with. She fell into the man's chest, not even caring about personal space of any sort. The blond only wanted some source of comfort, somewhere, anywhere.
Cody stood back like an awkward spectator at a car accident, wanting to know what was going on, but then again not wanting to get his hands dirty with the work involved. "She'd be cute if she wasn't cray." He muttered to himself, an almost disappointed tone in his face. It wasn't as though he lived off of sexual frustations, however, he had all but buried those a good deal amount of time ago.
However, even though he knew neither of the the two individuals, he found himself watching with odd interest as the woman latched her arms around the other man's frame, as though he was some kind of lifeline, almost as she was drowning in her own misery. "Sooo. Okay. I didn't do anything to her, like I said. I just tried..to sorta figure out what was wrong. Then she called me a Dallas. What's a Dallas? Is she calling me fat? I mean Dallas is a pretty big city." He pondered aloud, his childish stupidty as present as ever. As usual, he never knew when to keep his mouth shut. ❝ just sleep the demons away ❞ @lochlan | 622 words | muse: xnow THIS is shit

A LIFELESS FACE THAT YOU'LL SOON FORGET ❝ SO, HE'D BEEN A BIT QUICK TO JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS. But what else was he supposed to think? As much as some might like to think it, life wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. He’d gotten his daily dose of shit purely from the building in which he worked, and let’s face it, he’d always been a rather uptight guy. It seemed ages had passed as he watched the man skeptically through narrowed eyes. It was only after several moments thought that he recalled how easily it was to provoke one of Sienna’s anxiety attacks. A sigh left his nostrils and with it a cooling breath, although the tension in his shoulders never seemed to fade. “Okay, alright.” The man mumbled, shifting his gaze back to the broken woman. He wasn’t sure what to make of the man in front of him, and he’d be damned before he trusted a stranger, but at least for this moment he believed him. Though he didn’t seem to take too kindly to the insults he indirectly threw at the blonde. Lochlan's blue-green eyes flashed before settling again. This was not the time, nor place for an argument and luckily for him, the other man didn’t seem to have any inclination for one. “She was just… wandering the streets?” He asked incredulously, surveying the street for any sign of life; for someone or something that could explain why a hospital patient was wandering around at dusk. But as can be expected, there was no one in sight besides them. “How the hell…” It seemed his questions were more aimed at himself by this point, wondering out-loud with a voice that still had yet to discover a filter. “Yeah, I…” Seconds later, Sienna’s familiar voice crept into his ear and he switched full attention to her curiously. Before could even address her, she’d found her way into his arms. Equal amounts of shock and relief briefly passed over his features before he promptly wrapped his arms about her slender form. It was only then he allowed his shoulders to sag, and himself to relax. Quite honestly he didn’t know the woman that well, but he did know enough to know that he cared for her. “Well, if I didn’t know her, this would be a little bit weird...” He snorted with amusement, dragging a comforting thumb across her back. “Easy, there.” The man murmured, parting slightly from the embrace to study her closely. Above all else he wanted to make sure she was safe – that was more or less his job anyways, right? But before he could do that he had to know why the woman was stumbling around in the street, or more importantly, how. Was she being chased, or had she just lost it to the point where she’d forgotten where she was? A frown creased his features. “What’s going on?” He asked. “What… are you okay?”Though with the stranger’s speech he glanced upwards again. If it was true that he’d had intentions of helping Sienna in the first place, then the least he could do was hear him out. The pure mention of the Dallas put a snarl on his lips, however. “No, not a city. But that’s probably close to the size of her fuckin’ ego.” He nearly spat the words, but for Sienna’s sake he attempted to keep his tone even. The last thing he needed was for her to go into another ‘attack’ and scream bloody murder in the middle of a neighborhood. “She’s just a blood-sucking leech on the backside of humanity, a wannabe devil-incarnate that needs to learn how to keep its goddamn hands to itself.” Maybe he’d said too much. “Anyways… I’m Lochlan… and this is Sienna.”

❝ blood brothers ❞ The man wasn't a babysitter, hell half the time he couldn't even look after his own ass. But getting into trouble made his life interesting, but he would always swear up and down that he didn't purposely wind up in trouble the majority of the time. He halfway wanted to slink away while he had the chance, but something kept his feet remaining right where he stood, unable to move away from the scene.
A relieved huff blew through his lips once the stranger knew that he wasn't trying to pull any dirty tricks out of a whore hat. He was no magician, hell no amount of well placed tarot cards could make a woman get in bed with the man, not even for the briefest of moments. Hazel eyes studied the dark streets, still debating on whether he should bail, his thoughts were soon interrupted by a masculine voice. "More or less." He commented quietly as he looked to the blond, why did the pretty ones always have to be psycho?
Maybe I'm just cursed. He thought to himself, immediately hating that theory. Muscular, taut arms were folded across his chest, feeling a slight tinge of jealousy as the seemingly delirious woman ambled towards the other man. What am I? Chopped liver? ...although chopped liver does sound good right about now. While he considered all the possible ways liver could be eaten, the woman had remained in the man's embrace, a safe haven.
Hearing the man's comment, Cody broke from his train of thought. "Weird? I'd doubt it. A pretty lady in your arms? Weird? You're kidding, right?" Cody was no casanova, although he always tried to bust his ass to make it seem that way. He was going to comment further, that is until he heard the quiet, quite pitiful, sobbing of the blond. Is she crying? He thought to himself as he came closer to the pair, probably invading the boundaries of personal space. But Cody, of all people, didn't understand the meaning of personal space. In his mind, that was a myth entirely.
Sienna clung to Lochlan's muscular frame, her face buried into his chest. She didn't care at the time that this was normally beyond her usual behavior, she wanted to feel safe. And most of all, she didn't want to be alone. Alone with herself, with her thoughts. When the man pulled slightly away from the embrace, the woman looked up, meeting the man's gaze with dampened eyes. What had happened exactly?
The woman only had to collect her thoughts for a brief second before her words came from her lips, almost a whisper. "I-I was r-released from the h-h..hospital e-earlier... T-they said I was f-f-fine, b-but I d-didn't have a r-ride so I w-walked. I d-didn't want to b-b-bother you with a-asking." She spoke, her stammer having returned with a fierce vengeance. She decided against answering the question regarding her wellbeing, she honestly had no idea. Was she okay, really okay? No. No she wasn't, or at least that was what her dumb brain was telling her. She was terrified, fear that fed anxiety and depression, thus making her life a living hell. With a heavy, ragged sigh she rested her forehead against the man's chest. Here, she could displace thoughts of Dallas, and even the strange man who had only been trying to help her moments earlier. Here, in his embrace, she felt safe.
Cody was a bit too nosy for his own good, he was listening rather attentatively to the hushed tones of the woman, wondering what the pair were conversing about. Although it didn't sound like anything particularly interesting so he pondered as to whether this man was the woman's boyfriend or something of that nature. He almost wished the woman had been referring to a city, for the tone of the man's voice had taken a turn for something that could be considered hatred.
The shift in the man's tone only made the blond tighten her grasp upon the man, she didn't want to hear about Dallas. Here she had been trying to get vengeance on Dallas, but she ended up falling into her dirty hands as some broken pawn, yet again. She had been tricked once more, and this time it had almost cost her her life. "Oh-kay then." Cody spoke, a bit shocked that the man felt so strongly about this Dallas, this evil woman so to speak.
Oh, so now he wanted to go through with introductions, fashionably late, hm? "Cody. I'm assuming she's your girlfriend?" He asked, Please say no, please say no, please say no. Wait, she's cray. Waaaait, maybe she's not. He thought to himself with a grin, a bit too excited for his own good. "I'm hungry pal, you got any food?" As casual as ever, as though this man was a long, lost friend or someone who always gave out hand-outs and free samples to people passing by on the street. ❝ just sleep the demons away ❞ @lochlan| 870 words | muse: xim sleepy

A LIFELESS FACE THAT YOU'LL SOON FORGET ❝ IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FOCUS on anything besides the woman in his arms, and in all honesty, it’d been quite a while since any woman had been in his arms for any platonic reason. Although it was a weird sensation it was one that warmed him, and also one that he could get used to. He was wrapped up in the slight bit of warmth she gave, and fully attuned to the body that wracked with tears. It was not until the other male stepped into their space that Lochlan actually remembered he was there. “Hm?”He glanced up upon catching the last of the man’s words and he raised an eyebrow in response. Lochlan paid little mind to the fact that the stranger was a bit too close for comfort, probably due to the fact that the majority of his time was spent in other peoples space – drunk folk in his career never really considered the whole ‘bubble’ concept. “I guess I’ll take that as a compliment.” He chuckled slightly, though it seemed his humor was lacking at this point probably due to the sobbing woman in his arms. “But I… guess I’m a loner. You must be too, wandering around at this time of night. You’re not a psycho, are you?”
Not that Lochlan cared much, his career was practically nothing but handling psychos and by all means if this man happened to choose a more violent route, then he was prepared. But then again, maybe that was just his anxiety piping up now that he had someone to look after. Hazel irises glanced down at the woman incredulously. “Bother me? Sienna… I’d prefer that to you… wandering around risking the chance of you getting kidnapped or something.” He glanced up and around, clenching his jaw, but upon feeling her press against his chest the man bent and laid a kiss on her head. “Don’t do that shit again, okay? I don’t care if you’re Superwoman…You just got out of the hospital, you shouldn’t be alone.”Regardless of whether or not he knew her well, some sense of responsibility came over him at that moment. He was not to naïve as to think she was completely alone, but as for this moment she was, and for that reason alone he felt the overwhelming need to protect her. Especially so as he felt her tension, and being able to so closely sense her fear. “Shhh… You’re alright...” The man mumbled, sending a sheepish look to the other man that seemed to be watching them. Maybe the man was jealous, or maybe curious, hell, he didn’t care, he wasn’t exactly the insecure type. Besides the fact that they had nothing to hide. So what if he wanted to watch? “Girlfriend? Ahh… no, not quite.” The man laughed slightly, a bit taken aback from the question but nonetheless, he didn’t really mind answering truthfully, even if perhaps he didn’t like the answer he gave. "Though, she is pretty cute, ey?" He smirked slightly as if she wasn’t even there, but then moved a finger along her back as if to address her. “C’mon. We can get a drink while we’re at it.” God knows, he needed one. He separated slightly from the woman, only to direct her in the direction of his house. I'M WAITING PATIENTLY THOUGH TIME IS MOVING SLOW BLOOD BROTHERS I HAVE ONE VACANCY, AND I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT
words 756 words tagged @lochlan notes so cute <3 | Okay, let's be honest here.
Cody didn't exactly like being ignored, nor did he enjoy being a third wheel. He was a human being too, he had rights, and all that other important hooplah. He never got the booty, never got the girl. He was just a crippled swan that no one even wanted to use for Thanksgiving dinner. He was a loner, though, a loner at his very finest.
For heck's sake, he was homeless in a sense. Then again, that was probably spent the majority of his time running around as a filthy wolf. But a psycho? "Me a psycho? You're kidding, right? I like wandering around at night, less people to worry about giving you funky looks. I mean, are you psycho. You were wandering around too." Way to turn the conversation around, Scooby Doo.
Again, he found himself being taken from the conversation as the man's attention was drawn back to the broken, troubled blond. In Sienna's case, it had been stupid of her to try and amble home on her own. She was stubborn, and highly selfless, and way too anxious to get much done at times. The frightened woman forced a quiet laugh, "N-n-no one's gonna k-kidnap someone l-l-like me." Who wanted to waste their time with a stammering fool like herself? She was too naive at times to really consider the fact that a true pervert didn't care so long as it had a hole and reacted in the way he so wished.
Cody shifted from foot to foot, truthfully he felt awkward, but he would never truly let on that he yearned for some socialization. Even if it was with total strangers, and even if those strangers were oddballs. Feeling the man's lips upon the top of her head, the blond looked up at the man, her one true friend, and forced a small smile. "O-okay, b-but I'm fine. R-r-really." It was just that she was scared out of her fucking mind, but fear was everyone's worse enemy at times. The unseen, untouchable monster of everyone's nightmares.
Lochlan's words calmed her nerves, at least for the moment. It wasn't so bad, having someone you could trust. Sienna was too wrapped up in her own little world, and the warmth of Lochlan's chest to register what the other man was saying, frankly she didn't care all that much about what he had to say, not now anyways.
At Lochlan's words, Cody cracked a grin, looking much too giddy for the moment. "A shame. So, I could ask her out then? When she's not all..weird? Or is she always weird? Then again, they say the hotter a girl is, the crazier they are. Hmm." He thought to himself, considering the pros and cons of attempting to date a hot woman.
He nodded quickly in response when it came to the judgement of the woman's appearance. "I mean, if you wanna trade places I wouldn't mind holding her close for a bit." Cody sucked at flirting, attempting to flirt, getting people's attention in general. He came off socially awkward, and didn't even realize it. He honestly thought he was doing a damn fine job. Meanwhile, the woman in Lochlan's arms wasn't deaf. Lochlan had called her cute, she'd beg to differ. "I-I'd r-r-rather not." She whispered quietly, so she was listening to the conversation.
The wolf shifter had picked up on the woman's barely audible words, "Aw, why not? I'm warm and cuddly!" A sad attempt, but an attempt nontheless. The short, spiky haired individual sighed but decided to give up, if only for the night. "A drink! Sounds like a grand plan." Cody agreed quickly, before hastily falling into a step a length away from Lochlan.
And then, as if to prove otherwise, or to at least offer some kind of protection against Cody's indirect advancements, Sienna shyly slipped her hand into Lochlan's before casting a quick glance up at him as though to confirm that he wasn't mad, or disgusted by her actions. "It's d-dark so...I w-wouldn't w-want..to..g-get...l-lost..you k-know.." She murmured quietly, despite her state, was that a blush creeping into her cheeks?

LET ME BE YOUR SHELTER ❝ THE WORLD WAS A DIFFICULT PLACE. Sienna was no stranger to this concept, of course; she knew should have known that better than most. So then why was she still so naïve to the wicked ways of the world? People would do plenty for a buck, two seconds of pleasure, or twisted companionship. The level of the crime just depended on the desperation, or emptiness that particular person felt at the given time. Kidnappers, rapists? They had no rhyme nor reason and they certainly wouldn’t pass up the opportunity for a pretty hunk of flesh, no matter the fact that she was about as disoriented as they come. The sooner she realized that, the better. Lochlan cast a glance over at Cody before returning his attention to the woman, distracted but for this moment giving her his full, and serious attention. “Freaks who kidnap people don’t discriminate, and you’re nothing if not the perfect candidate.” He replied in a murmur, trying for Cody’s sake to keep the words between them. Because who really wanted to listen in on another’s conversation? “They aren’t going to care if you just got out of the hospital, or are lost, or scared. They will just take advantage of you and I’ll be damned before I let that happen.” The man hated being in situations where others felt left out, and this was no different. Maybe it was just a second nature at this point. He had made himself the mediator in life, it was in his blood and although a loner, didn’t want this man to feel isolated just because of a woman at his side. He wouldn’t have treated anyone else differently, so why him? Perhaps a couple of beers would help; for all involved. Lochlan whistled at the great dane that had gone about urinating on every blade of grass that ever existed. When called, the giant beast lifted his head and galumphed after his human, but instead took up place besides the much smaller woman... Completely ignoring the fact that his leash wound around every surface of his body so that he looked more a present than a dog. The man turned and began to short walk to his house, casting a glance over at his new companions as they spoke to one another, and raising an eyebrow at Cody’s remarks. He subconsciously felt his shoulders tense, but was that some vague form of satisfaction when she rejected him? His jaw clenched for mere seconds, but before he knew it he had cracked a grin. Teal irises flicked over to Cody, “You’re digging yourself a hole, bud.” He laid a hand on the man’s shoulder as a laugh shook his frame. He was pleased that it seemed Sienna had chosen him over the other, but he could also feel for the strange man in his company. “Don’t take it personally,” He reassured, “She’s had a hard day, and she just knows me better.” Well, from what he could figure. Hell if he knew what really went on inside the mind of a woman. Soon after his speech he felt the warmth of a petite hand in his own, to which he glanced down at. The corners of his lip twitched upwards and he self-consciously gripped her hand back. “Don’t worry about it. I don’t mind.” He studied her big blue eyes for several long seconds, although they were mostly hidden in the shadows from the dim light. Luckily for poor Cody the man cleared his throat and continued on his path. He strode relatively quietly through the dark, he’d never really been much of a talker especially in the presence of people he didn’t know all too well, finding himself always more wrapped up in his own mind. Dreams, hopes, or nightmares, life was easier when one kept his thoughts to himself, or perhaps he was just now accustomed to it. Before long the man reached his house and the sound of another rough bark met his ears, to which he smiled at. Just as he pulled open the door the dog that had attached himself to Sienna wriggled inside, most likely to greet the owner of the other bark. “It’s not much.” Lochlan called back to the two as he headed in, releasing the womans hand and moving straight for the kitchen. “But at least it’s something.” Several moments later he rose with a couple of beers and a glass of wine, should she decide to drink and prefer wine. He popped the cap to one and tipped it back, sitting heavily into a nearby couch. “Have you ever had alcohol, Si?” Something told him she hadn’t. I'M WAITING PATIENTLY THOUGH TIME IS MOVING SLOW BLOOD BROTHERS I HAVE ONE VACANCY, AND I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT
words 821 words TAGGED @lochlan notes was in a hurry sorry for crap <3 | Sienna hated to think that the majority of people had the wrong intentions in the world, but whenever she thought about it, she pictured Dallas. Looks can always be deceiving and that vile woman, her supposed friend, could not have been a more perfect example. "I..I k-know that.." She murmured, somewhat sheepishly under her breath. Somewhere, deep down, the woman wanted to believe that in her little fantasy world, people still had good intentions. But the world wasn't perfect, and neither were the pawns in life.
To be perfectly honest, Cody didn't like being left out. He hated it with a burning passion. Perhaps it was the canine in him, the part of him who wanted to follow some kind of pack mentality. Being on his own never felt right, but whenever he was partook in someone else's company it was usually a matter of time before he got on their nerves as well.
As the other man, Lochlan, called to his lumbering hound, Cody resisted the urge to growl at the canine. It's somebody's pet dog for crying out loud, Chill out. He told himself in his thoughts, not wanting to start any trouble, hell Lochlan and the pretty number at his side probably already thought he was excessively weird.
The dog seemed to have taking somewhat of a liking to Sienna, which prompted a small smile from the fragile woman. Seeing that the dog had tangled himself up into such a mess that he looked more presentable as a gift than a dog. "Y-you'll trip l-like that." She murmured to the dog as she stopped and hastily kneeled down, performing timid, yet gentle movements with her hands to free the dog from its slight imprisonment.
On the other hand Cody seemed to be taking it rather hard that he had been so easily brushed off by such a pretty woman. It was just his luck to never get the girl, then again when did he ever play the role of a hero? Hardly ever, he was usually an oddball bystander who put his two cents worth in every now and again. "Wouldn't be the first time." He mumbled, casting an almost longing glance in the direction of Sienna.
He wasn't as pleased by the woman's reaction, he was beginning to look like a dog who had just been denied attention from the likes of another. Lochlan's attempt to reassure the shorter man didn't help in the slightest. "Sure, sure." Cody responded, before feeling his heart skip a beat entirely as he watched the woman slip her hand oh so subtly into the man's own. Lucky duck. He thought, what a way to rain on another man's parade.
It wasn't as though they were in any kind of relationship, nothing more than friends..perhaps good friends. The beginnings of a smile of sorts on the man's face in response to the subtle action was more than enough to make the blond blush. His comment on not minding her actions was enough to make her hurriedly look away, deciding to instead focus her blue gaze on the dog who followed along quietly.
Cody was too wrapped up in his own thoughts to even hear the man's response to the woman's action. He was feeling pretty jealous, but he wouldn't say anything about it, at least not at the moment. His full attention was grabbed by the likes of a hidden dog barking. Seeing the Great Dane rush inside the house, Cody ungracefully pushed past Lochlan, following after the canine with sudden vigor. Was that a bark of sorts that came from his mouth? The man greeted the new, formerly unseen dog, with great interest and curiousity, but realizing this was just that, a house pet, he calmed himself and cleared his throat.
Sienna looked at the strange man with confusion, but thought nothing else of it. She was tired, for all she knew she could have been imagining that odd sort of behavior. "No..I don't..t-think so." Despite her answer, she hurriedly took the wine, sipping at first, before throwing it back.
It was only a matter of time before Cody came over and plopped down on the couch right next to Sienna, not caring much for personal space. But when did he ever? "Don't think I've ever had this before." He spoke with piqued interest as he grabbed a can of beer and gleefully turned it back, it would appear that Lochlan would be having a pair of newbs in his house on that night. |

A LIFELESS FACE THAT YOU'LL SOON FORGET ❝ AS IF HE HADN'T CONSIDERED bringing another troubled blonde into his life. Even he had to admit that spending days upon days with only himself for company was quite the deprived lifestyle. A loner at heart, but even so it was hard to ignore the feeling that had settled in his chest ever since he first saw her, and those soulful blue eyes. Perhaps he was just stupid, and deciding to live in the past to the point where it ruined his present. But the past was also not something that he could forget. What was the past, if not to learn from his mistakes? He was afraid of himself, and the potential of setting himself up for disaster… like he’d once done before. Afraid of not only hurting himself, but of inadvertently hurting the one he chose to spend his time with. It seemed his choices lead him down a path of death to those he cared about. Was it his job, and the felons that lurked there in all their casual grace? Or was he simply just cursed? Anxious thoughts brought him back to the present as he hurriedly poured himself a couple shots of whiskey. So he had a tendency to self-medicate; but it quieted the rush of thoughts in his head. He brought the cool glass to his lips and tipped it back, the rush of bitter liquid warming his gut and almost immediately soothing his troubled mind. Good, now he had quite a bit more focus. At least it seemed as if life was doing him a favor at this moment in time, and had offered him two people to keep him company. Perhaps instead of being lonely this peaceful evening, free to do as he pleased and sulk about his home, it was time to put himself aside. For her especially. He glanced at the timid and broken woman, and each second longer dwelling on her soulful blue eyes made his chest tense; not only for the feeling she provoked but from the pure anger he felt when noting her terror. But then there was the stranger, of whom alleviated that anger just by simple distraction. For fucks sake, the man was a little bit bizarre, but who didn’t need a good laugh in their life? The reality was, they were all oddballs. What, with the the anxiety ridden female, the remorseful male, and the drifter who… let’s be honest, who really knew what his problem was? All he could really tell from the male’s behavior was a strange fascination with dogs, a natural fixation for them. Was he just weird, or was there were some ulterior reasoning behind his behavior? He had heard of the local legend that was supernatural species, the shifters, dragons, and werewolves, but surely that was all local lore, right? He himself was a ‘retired’ time manipulator, and he’d more than witnessed the other evil that lurked about the town, but shifters? Even for him that sounded a bit strange. As the four entered the house, a near wolf replica came from the back room, with several hundred different shades of mottled grays and browns that making up his thick coat. He walked with a staggered gait; an unsymmetrical rhythm that, with each fourth footfall, ended with a small whine and the bob of his head. Lochlan eyed lame dog with a clenched jaw. It pained him to see his friend in obvious agony, but there was only so much he could do for him. The man stepped into the living room after the other two found their places, followed closely by the wolfdog and dane. “I guess I forgot to introduce these guys.”He cleared his throat as he spoke and he lowered himself onto the sofa on the other side of Sienna, but unlike Cody allowed her to have her own personal space. “Wolfie here is Kane, and the doofus you’ve already met is Knox.” He gestured to each dog as he spoke, before reaching to brush his hands through Kane’s thick and coarse coat. But it seemed this dog too had different ideas, as the animal suddenly took pointed interest in sniffing Cody’s pants leg. Meanwhile, Knox in his full 150lb glory, decided to take it upon himself to nonchalantly crawl into Sienna’s lap. “Kane’s on bed rest after he-” He paused as he noticed the man, Cody, finding interest in the beer. A chuckle sounded in him briefly, but a confused one at that. It was understandable for the blonde to have never drank, but for dogboy? Lochlan sipped his whiskey and studied the peculiar situation. So now he would have not one but two lightweights on his hands? Oh hell. What had gotten himself into? “Never had a beer? Damn, do you live under a rock?” He joked lightly. However curious the situation, it was also slightly relieving, in some strange way. He knew he could only take the man’s words at face value but, at least if the eager creature was slammed drunk it would be easier to throw him out, if it came down to it. Luckily for him, he was built like a brick house and it would take more than a couple of beers to touch him. But that was okay, as he needed to be alert. “You some type of nun or something?”It seemed the whiskey on his system had loosened the man up a bit, as he relaxed back into his couch. Only then did he return attention back to Sienna, and the overgrown lapdog that was still trying desperately to find a place to lay on the tiny woman. Lochlan laughed again and offered the massive animal his cup, to which he eagerly shoved his muzzle in. After lapping up a small portion of the alcohol the dog settled easily down onto the woman’s legs. “Easy there with the wine, Si.. gotta keep your bearings around crazies like us.” He teased. “I’m guessing you like it then, ey?”He could hardly blame her for her excitement for the alcohol, especially with the common thought that it would numb the pain. Was she truly that damaged, or was she just filled with a genuine and innocent curiosity? He released a long breath and sat back, draping an arm on the back of the couch. Regardless of how the night went down, if the strange ‘Cody’ decided to get up and streak, or if Sienna had a mental breakdown, he wouldn’t have cared. In all honesty, it was just nice to have company. Notes; longestlochpostever Tags; Cody MillerWords; 1100 MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

PUT HER HANDS OVER HER EARS, STARTS TALKING THROUGH THE TEARS BLOOD BROTHERS AND SHE'S SAYING, I WISH WORDS WERE LIKE LITTLE TOY GUNS
| Everyone had their secrets, their own plot twist. Cody, for instance, was almost more canid than man at times. The way he eyed the man's dogs, watching their movements with faint amusement and something that seemed a bit territorial even, was more than enough to raise suspicions. He was aware of the shifters in society, but any more than that he was ignorant of. If anything, he thought the world was composed of simply animals, humans and the lesser shifters. Unfortunately, the world held more secrets than just a few shapeshifting humans.
Sienna had all but forgotten her manipulation of light, it was such a useless ability, wasn't it? It certainly didn't protect her from Dallas' dark nature and tendencies. She had bever been the candle in the dark as her mother had always whispered to her, her flicker of light had long since burned out. "Hello Kane and Knox, bang any bitches lately?" He spoke with a lopsided grin on his face, looking a bit too excited. A shame that a random dog probably got more than he had ever gotten in his entire life.
The blond woman fidgeted quietly as the heavy canid took it upon himself to find a way to settle himself into her lap. Quite awkwardly while still keeping a firm hold on her glass of wine, she ran her hands through the dog's thick, mismatched fur. "T-this is good." Her stammer lightened as she brought the glass to her lips again, looking almost disappointed when it was empty.
It was a grand way to drown one's fears and problems, it was almost a disappointment to the woman that she had not tried it sooner. While the woman tried to drink away her miseries, Cody slurped on the can of beer loudly. "Live under a rock? Oh no. Just never bothered to try, or had a reason to try." Everyone he knew in the past seemed to fancy drinking, alas he seemed to be the last one out.
A wave of relief came over the woman as the dog finally relocated himself from her lap to the floor. She was beginning to think she was going to lose all feeling in her thighs. It was this opportunity after the dog has scored some of his master's alcohol that she leaned forward and grabbed the bottle of wine on the coffee table, eagerly pouring it into the glass, spilling some onto the floor. "Oh I'm fine--oh sorry spilled some." She spoke clearly, she herself relaxing, a feeling that she gladly welcomed. "No one's crazy here, right?" She responded, giving a gleeful smile as she brought it to her lips, eagerly helping herself to the only pleasure she knew that could drown her pains.
She laughed as she pulled the glass away from her lips, "I love it. It's great!" She exclaimed, unknowingly leaning slightly towards Cody, who seemed more than happy about the scenario. Cody was proving to not be the lightweight that he would have thought, but he was looking more jolly than he had been ten minutes earlier. "You changed your mind?" Cody asked, if he had a tail, he'd be wagging it most definately.
His little crush on Sienna proved to not be garnering much attention, so he brought it upon himself to try and drape an arm around the woman's shoulders. The woman looked up from her short-term relationship with her glass of wine, if only to react in the most surprising of ways, by collliding the palm of her hand with the side of the man's face, in a slap. Cody looked on as though he had been punished, the look of a guilty dog in trouble. "What was that for?" He whined, but quickly withdrew his arm and set his can of beer on the table.
Cody's ego was bruised, but only tempoarily, he had a record of jumping back to his usual behavior. The woman got up from her place upon the couch, moving her feet from underneath the dog before ambling over to ever so casually place herself on Lochlan's lap, as free a spirit as anyone could ever be. She still had her glass of wine clasped firmly in one hand and pulled it back to her lips, downing the dark liquid as though it was water. "That could've been us." She spoke, her voice only slightly slurred, but her stammer was practically nonexistant at the time. It would seem that alcohol was a sure way to displace the anxious Sienna, if only for the moment.
The man on the opposite couch looked rejected, but took to petting the dog on the floor, as though there was no way a dog would reject his friendship. Then again, one had before, Archaic had been his name. But this was no shifter, this was just a dog, they were supposed to be full of unconditional love, right? Hopefully. He casted a hazel gaze burning with envy towards Lochlan, as though he had unlawfully took something from him.
Sienna didn't seem to have any regard for Cody, after all she didn't know him anyway. "Hope you don't mind me sitting here. It's so comfy. Almost like riding a horse." She made a noise with her mouth, imitating the sound of a horse galloping. She looked quite excited and proud of herself, even when she hiccuped, oh why hadn't someone given her complementary wine sooner? |

BE THE ONE TO LIGHT THE WAY ❝ HE HAD NO IDEA what he’d gotten himself into; that much was certain. But then again he also didn’t care at this moment, the deed had been done and the alcohol had already leaked itself into their system. How was he supposed to know that they would be such lightweights? How was he supposed to know that they’d jump on the opportunity and chug the shit? He was amused, thoroughly, and his depressed frame released a small chuckle at the sight of the two fighting, if only from a selfish desire to keep the woman for himself. They were behaving similarly to two siblings, and he was thoroughly entertained as of that moment. But alas, even their out of character behavior did not prepare him for what she would do next. Her weight settled into his lap and, understandably, a sharp intake of breath followed. Equal parts shock and excitement took over him until he instinctively had a hand on her waist, probably mostly to keep the unsteady woman from tipping over. But it was then he eyed her incredulously, waiting for some sort of hesitation or claim of regret. The shocking part was that she seemed to have none. Every fiber of his being was telling him to retreat, however at the same time, telling him the opposite. He’d never been the type to shy away from something he truly wanted, yet was also more concerned with her feelings than his own. She’d been hurt too many damn times for him to slip up and ruin something with her. The man could hardly be blamed for attempting to remain cautious. Therefore, the man found himself caught up in quite the dilemma, which luckily for him could be eased with the help of the amber liquid in the short glass in front of him. He brought the last of the strong alcohol to his lips before setting the empty glass on the table and briefly eying the situation outside of the woman in front of him; noticing the two dogs had now taken a liking to Cody, both wriggling into his direction and slobbering on his face. He snorted with amusement. It was a shame the man had no one at that moment in time, but then again, with the attractive woman settled in his lap he didn’t exactly care. His mind spun with the list of potential option’s he had, but of course dulled severely by the amount of alcohol in his system. The man was at a crossroads at the moment in time, with each part of his conscious pulling him in either direction. Go for it. One side of him insisted firmly. She was calm, confident and had forgotten her troubles for the time being. “Mind? Ah.. no.”Don’t take advantage of her like that. You’re a man remember? But then again, it was also his intelligence that told him what was perhaps slightly obvious; if she’d not wanted a good time then she wouldn’t have taken the alcohol. If she hadn’t been seeking something, then why was she here? Aqua irises studied her every feature closely, even drunken and babbling she still managed to find a way to look damn adorable. But more importantly, if she was so opposed to him… why the hell would her subconscious be telling her to ride him like a childhood stick pony? What had he needed to stay cautious for again? He couldn’t remember. Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was just his easily distractable nature. Regardless, he soon found a hand on her chin, in order to silence her babbling and guide his lips to hers. PUT HER HANDS OVER HER EARS, STARTS TALKING THROUGH THE TEARS BLOOD BROTHERS AND SHE'S SAYING, I WISH WORDS WERE LIKE LITTLE TOY GUNS
words 1096 words tagged @lochlan notes talking body nope not coming back no more jack | The two individuals that the man had invited into his house had their own share of problems, they were more than just pretty faces. What Sienna with her severe anxieties and illogical fears, and history of abuse she was a case all on its own. And then there was Cody, who knew nothing of his true family except for his late brother who was murderer, rapist, and everything else with a bad name that could be used as a label. To be in the presence of an innocent soul and life-giving alcohol was a blessing to the both of them, feelings highly welcomed and needed.
Cody had devoured a beer or three by this point so he did not let his rejection by the woman simmer. Perhaps he had forgotten, perhaps he no longer cared. He was always rejected, so why did it even matter by this point? He was cursed to be a hermit, it wasn't like he wanted eternal matrimony with anyone. Petting and scratching the dogs was enough bliss for him at that moment. Laughter rumbled through his chest as the dogs slobber on him which prompted him to slide onto the floor to sit at eye level with the dogs.
A shame that the only friends he could get in this fucked up world were a couple of dogs and food, a great combination loaded with sarcasm. Cody blocked out whatever interactions the man and woman were conducting, he just didn't care anymore. Perhaps he had stopped caring when even that of Archaic, his last hope, had rejected him. What reason was there for him to go after anyone anymore? He was a stray, a stranger, an outcast, the black sheep. They were always culled out from society, why should he be any different?
Alcohol was like poison of the mind and body, if enough was taken it would drown out all judgement, all common sense. This was what happened in Sienna's case, she just didn't give a damn. She took up seat in the man's lap as if it was a place with her name on it, and through the minutes she sat there she continued sipping at the mahogany colored liquid, making her care less and less for what was right or wrong and removing the boudaries of her comfort zone.
She found herself shifting her sapphire gaze to the man as he set his glass upon the table. What real man took advantage of someone who was under the influence? They would be fully aware of the fact that the things people did while intoxicated was not always something that they wanted to do. Nine times out of ten, they did actions that they would regret. But for now, Sienna was oblivious to the outside world, to any fears, here and now she was a free floating soul and the only thing she saw in front of her was Lochlan. One person that had never wronged her, the only true friend that she had in this fucked up world.
She needed him more than anyone else, but she didn't know that. Drunken mind transferred that need into a boiling want as she allowed him to set his hand upon her chin, drawing her lips to his own. It was then that there was no need to think, no need to hesitate as she normally would have done. She took to kissing the man like a moth to a flame, and that little insect did wonders with those embers.
In an instance she completely forgot about Dallas Petrov, her late mother, her fucked up family matters, her brother. Everything. She hungrily made out with the man, her hand losing its grasp on the glass of wine as she moved her hands through the man's dark locks. There was no question about it, and no doubt. It would appear that the woman had even forgotten that Cody, the odd dog loving man, even existed in the first place.
Of course Cody glanced over at the woman and looked on with a sense of disbelief, as though he had a chance of gaining the woman for himself at any point. He didn't even know her it was better for him to put all thoughts of her out of her mind. "Good dog." He murmured as he rubbed the belly of one of the large canines.
Perhaps the blond haired woman also wanted to prove a point that she wanted nothing to do with Cody after all she didn't know the oddball. Her attention was all for Lochlan Haynes as she buried her face into his neck, kissing and biting him as though he was her own. And perhaps he was, who was to know? It didn't even cross her water-logged brain that she had never partaken in a sexual deed before, it would just be something for the eager beaver man to figure out on his own accord.
Seconds later she brought her lips back to his own searching for some kind of sanctuary, some form of escape from all of the bullshit. Anything would do, anything. If anyone was eager in the room it would have been Sienna. Fortunately, it looked as though she had some kind of sense to say the words she was about to, that is after she went through a fit of giggling. She leaned forward towards the man's ear taking part in kissing him lightly. It was then that she whispered what she wanted to partake in dity before backing away with a giddy grin as though she was having the time of her life. "So funny, I don't know how. You gonna teach me Secretariat?" She continued laughing as she kept her place in his lap leaning forward every so often to place a wine-flavored kiss upon his lips. Bouncing around excitedly it was a side of her that perhaps no one had ever gotten the pleasure of experiencing. "Giddy up!" She joked as she grabbed the fabric of the man's shirt tightly nonverbally saying that she wasn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon. |

A LIFELESS FACE THAT YOU'LL SOON FORGET ❝ HE WAS AN IMPULSIVE MAN, but not necessarily a stupidly impulsive one. His actions often got him into enormous amounts of trouble and this was one of those times. In a normal situation, with sobriety in the picture, he probably would have gotten smacked for attempting to kiss her. Or, maybe if he was lucky, she’d agree to it. Maybe they could get along for a period, until months later when she decided he was too messed up to be worth saving, or too drunk. Perhaps even more accurately, carrying too much ‘emotional baggage’. At least for this moment, she seemed to agree to it fine, and he was taking it. It wasn’t quite the same but it was something. There was some vague form of closeness between him and the woman and it felt, as can be expected, incredible. The tangle of distractions faded behind him as her weight settled into his lap, caring not for the third wheel in the room nor the dogs that had flailed out beside Cody. With his arms fully encircling the woman and her breath hot on his neck, he knew there wasn’t a single place in the world he’d rather be. He tried to set his mind on the woman and only her, kissing her gently in response to her own advances, yet soon his conscience decided to pipe up. Her question startled him into reality, complete with the beautiful woman so casually on him, and the awful temptation to carry right on down that merry road. With the woman so vibrantly close and the alcohol now coursing through his bloodstream, that decision probably should have been an easy one. Any man scumbag man of the world could have told him that. What the hell am I doing? Lochlan blinked slowly and time seemed to still as he looked at her, so childish in her drunken state it felt all of a sudden as if he was digging his own grave. It was wrong. For him, but more importantly for her image. What would the anxious and damaged woman think of him when she woke from her probably awful hangover, and realized that he’d only taken advantage of her like everyone else in her life had? Would she ever speak to him again, or would she just collapse into a heap? He didn’t think he could take either of those options. Not to mention what that would stir up between her and her brother. If she shed one tear the psychotic man would most likely be on his ass in a heartbeat, no matter if he was on ‘good’ terms with the man or not (did Asher even have a good side?). Lochlan visibly stilled at the thought, his muscles growing rigid. Now, he wasn’t exactly ‘scared’ of Asher per se, but certainly he did not want to be on the man’s shit list. Let’s be honest, that man was just batshit insane. He normally would have rejoiced at the opportunity to set a woman-abusing prick in his place, but the method of getting there… ah, maybe not so much. Perhaps in a different circumstance. Sienna meant more to him than a one night stand, deserved more than to be taken advantage of at the next opportunity. He leaned in and brushed his lips along her cheek. “I like you Sienna…a lot.” He murmured, pulling back slightly in attempt to hold the drunken woman’s gaze steady, though by this point she was probably too wasted to even remember his words. Or this interaction for that matter, but regardless it had to be said. “But you deserve better. Alright?” His teal eyes searched hers steadily. “You’ve been through hell, and you feel happy right now, but you’re probably going to regret... this. I don’t want to be a cause for that.”

[attr="class, allthatineed"] “ If you believed When I said I'd be better off without you Then you never really knew me at all, If you believed When I said That I wouldn't be thinking about you You thought you knew the truth but you're wrong You're all that I need Just tell me that you still believe Poor Cody was left to his own devices for the man and woman seemed to be more than wrapped up within their own affairs. Luckily for the bachelor of a wolfman Lochlan had two canines to provide him with some sort of company. Sienna wanted something that could tear her away from the living hell that she called her life. If drowning herself in multiple shades of intoxication would do the job she wouldn't stray far from it. The feeling of the man placing his lips upon her own sent an exotic feeling up her spine, something different. Something that made her forget her troubles if only for a fleeting moment. The intoxicated blond wanted to be blindsided from the world around her, she wanted to get lost in the man's eyes, in his touch, any and everything that he could provide. No more childish garble emitted from her lips as she leaned her head against the man's chest taking comfort from the heat that radiated from his torso. "I don't..I just want to pretend that everything else...d-doesn't exist." She finally murmured something intelligible from her lips as she leaned away from the man's chest in time to hear his next statement. 'I like you.' were three strings of words that always stabbed someone right in the core of their heart. It was so simple, so weak. The woman's lower lip quivered and she had to fight back the tears that threatened to well within her eyes. Maybe it was the light dose of alcohol, or maybe it was the feeling of rejection, that small chance of getting some kind of freedom from life's bullshit. "Deserve..better?" Sienna repeated as she watched the man through an icy gaze that mirrored that of her older brother's. How could there be anyone else in a city full of jackasses who pleasured themselves on ruining the lives of others? What the hell was she supposed to do? Go knocking door to door asking each and every available man if he was true to his heart? No. No, because that kind of person didn't exist and they never would. At least, not from Sienna's perspective. Maybe the alcohol was wearing off, she hadn't had that much of it to begin with, or maybe she was just spilling meaningless words. "You have a-always made me happy.." She murmured quietly before releasing a sigh. Exhaustion came upon her like a wave making her long for her own bed. But she didn't want to remind her brother of what Dallas did, didn't want to intefere with whatever it was that he did (or whom he did) in his free time. She didn't want Asher to kill or hurt someone because of her, she didn't want to be the one to blame. Sienna felt pathetic, but when didn't she? Ever since she had met Dallas she had felt small, worthless and pathetic as though she wasn't meant to set foot on the ground underneath her feet. She just wanted to mean something to someone without being used, without being involved in a game of cat and mouse. It was then that she pushed Lochlan's previous words out of her head, whatever was left of the alcohol in her system forced her not to care. She didn't want to care. She just wanted to have fun and forget, if only for a fleeting moment. Placing everything on some lingering hope that the man would give in to her advances at some point, she leaned forward and pressed her lips against the man's neck hungrily searching for any sort of 'safe haven' that she could find. The wolf shifter, Cody, had all been forgotten by both individuals. Feeling heavily ignored, he had taken to falling asleep on the couch, snoring as though his unconcious self wanted to block out any 'excitement'. "Just make it go away Lochlan, please!" The woman pleaded, her words forming a slight slur on some syllables. "If only for a moment, I'd do a-any..thing to get rid of the i-images in my head. Please..please." She added hastily, and it was becoming hard to decipher between what her drunken self was asking for and what the real Sienna was asking for. Draping her arms around the man's neck, she allowed herself to cry into his shoulder, revealing just how broken she was within her heart.
